Ascended Master Mother Mary, July 3, 2005.

Introduction by Kim Michaels: Many things in life, we might say everything in life, is a matter of perspective. The teaching that Mother Mary gives in the new book is what Jesus was talking about, that we really are the conscious us. The Conscious You is the core of your identity. And the essence of the Conscious You is that at any moment you are who you think you are. And therefore, at any moment, you can change who you think you are, change the way you look at yourself and the world.

So as an example of that, when you look at this, it is a line, back and forth, back and forth. [Draws a zig-zag line.] And each time it comes here, it stops. Stop, stop, stop. Breathe in, stop. Breathe out, stop, Breathe in, stop. Breathe out stop.

But this is a two-dimensional drawing of a three-dimensional object that you are all familiar with. [Draws a spiral.] When you see that coil directly from the side, it will look like this zig-zag line. But when you see it in three dimensions, instead of going stop, stop, stop, it’s an ongoing, continuous, ascending spiral. And that is all you needed to have to understand what Mother Mary will say.

Mother Mary:

My Beloved hearts, I come on the heels of the Presence of Victory to give you a tool that might help you make the transition of letting go of the old and rising to the new, letting go of the sense of struggle and rising to the sense of on-going, perpetual joy that truly is the River of Life that flows and flows toward greater joy of becoming the more in God, while God is becoming the more in you.

My greatest desire is to see all of you enter that River of Life and flow with it, so that your path and your life is not a back-and-forth process between the highs and the lows of the human consciousness—that most people experience and that some people experience in the extreme called manic depression. One might say that all people who are still trapped in the duality consciousness are in a state of manic depression, or schizophrenia, being pulled hither and yon by the dualistic extremes from which they cannot separate themselves.

The decree that you just gave [VICTORY I AM!] is given to help you let go of the old and enter into that joy of the flow of life. But I will give you one more tool to tune in to the ongoingness of the River of Life. And that tool is the Breath of the Divine Mother.

The Eternal Breath

You have heard the concept of the inbreath and the outbreath of God. And truly, the Father God is the inbreath and outbreath. But the Mother of God has a different kind of breath, a breath that is not a line going back and forth, but the coil, the spiral, that rises toward her Lord, the Father God. And thus, the gift I give you is the visualization of the Eternal Breath of the Divine Mother. The breath that does not go in, stop, out, stop, but truly is an ongoing spiral.

You might have heard that some eastern religions teach that when a person takes embodiment, that person has a certain number of breaths, a certain number of heartbeats, and when that number is reached, the body will die. Yet I tell you, there is a way to raise the vibration of the body beyond the level of duality. For if your breath is an ongoing breath, how can you count the number of breaths that you have? If there is no in and out with stopping in between, then why should your body be limited by the breath? And thus I encourage you to visualize your breath as a coil, as an ascending spiral rather than the zig-zag, back-and-forth that you now visualize.

And I encourage you now to center your attention in your heart, to visualize that beneath your feet a coil is starting. The white light of the Mother is starting to flow up this coil. And as it flows, your breath flows with it up that coil. And instead of going in and out, it becomes a perpetual flow. Truly, your physical body will still be going in and out. But in your mind, you will visualize your breath as this ascending spiral.

And then for each inbreath, you say, “I AM Victory.” And for each outbreath, you say, “Victory I AM.”
You do not have to say this aloud. And, in fact, you can use this visualization any time. You can even use it without giving the victory affirmation. And if you are capable of doing so, you can visualize your breath as the ascending spiral while you are giving a rosary or doing other activities during your day.

As you build on this over time, you can come to a point, where it becomes almost subconscious, almost automatic. And in the back of your mind is always the ascending spiral of the Breath of the Mother of God, the Eternal Breath.

So let us now visualize together, without speaking aloud, as we start the coil and allow it to rise. [Pause as visualization exercise occurs.] And let us now visualize as I give the words and you remain silent, breathing in as I say, “I AM victory,” breathing out as I say, “Victory I AM.”

I AM victory. Victory I AM (9x)

And if you cannot follow my words, just continue to breathe without focusing your attention on your breath. But focus on visualizing the ascending spiral of victory, the coil of the white light that rises from beneath your feet and above your head. Let us now visualize again, starting beneath your feet and then follow my words as you wind coil upon coil, until you rise far above, as far above as you desire to go.

I AM victory. Victory I AM (18x)

And thus, I give you this simple gift. For truly, in the simplicity often hides the immense power of God. And I seal you now in the love of my heart, the love of a Mother who desires to help you let go of the mortal mold and be reborn into the spiral of Christ victory. Thus, in the name of Jesus Christ, in the name of Saint Germain, in the name of the Presence of Victory, and in the name of Mary, the Mother, it is sealed.

Ascended Master Mother Mary, July 2, 2005.

WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! I AM Mary, the representative of the Divine Mother for earth and I am here to awaken those on earth who are still asleep and have forgotten why they came here in this age. You did not come here to be part of the merry-go-round of human existence. You came to awaken the Mother Light to outpicture the kingdom of God on earth.

Things in this world are not ideal for spiritual growth. The prince of this world has managed to take people down into such a low vibration that awakening them is difficult. Even the Ma-ter light itself has been lowered to such a vibration that it has gone into a contracting, downward spiral that will pull down anyone who enters the forcefield of earth.

How can this downward pull be reversed? Only by raising the Ma-ter light. Yet how can the Ma-ter light be raised? Only through the Christ mind of those in embodiment. For as Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” – God in you, because you have become the open door. And this is why you came here in this age; to be the open door for the raising up of the Mother light to outpicture the immaculate concept that is held in the universal Christ mind.

Be the open door

Yet how can you be that open door? You can do so only when you do not allow yourself to be pulled down by the gravitational pull of planet earth and those who embody here but who are not part of the light wave that is sent in for the rescue. The equation is simple. Either they will pull you down or you will pull them up. There is no other option. Nothing can stand still for the earth is in a downward spiral, or rather it has been in a downward spiral for a very long time. The spiral has been reversed; it has stopped going down, but the upward momentum has not yet been established so that it has become self-reinforcing.

And that is precisely why you are here and why you volunteered to come in this age—to stop the downward spiral and to start the upward spiral, until it becomes a self-reinforcing spiral. And then you can leave and others can take over and carry on that upward spiral. So you are here to take dominion over the Ma-ter light and awaken it and raise its vibration, until it throws off the shackles of the mortal consciousness and realigns with the consciousness of Christ and with that immaculate matrix of planet earth that is till held there in all of it pristine beauty.

And thereby, the kingdom of God can be lowered into physical manifestation. Or should I say that the entire physical planet is raised to the vibration of the kingdom of God? And that is indeed the correct expression, for that is what must happen. The kingdom of God cannot be lowered to the current level of vibration found on earth, so there is only one option and that is to raise the vibration of the entire Ma-ter light that makes up this planet.

Awaken the Ma-ter light

Therefore, you must awaken that Ma-ter light, and you must awaken it in yourself by raising that Mother Flame. And truly, in the past we have warned against those who seek to take heaven by force by using various techniques, especially those coming from the East, of forcing the Kundalini** to rise. And these warnings are still valid, for many of these techniques are not suited for the job at hand. Therefore, I am come today to release a new tool, whereby you can raise the Ma-ter light, the Mother light, in your own being but do so in a balanced manner that will not lead to an overburdening of the delicate circuits in your nervous system.

This rosary that we release today, the Invocation of Miracle Freedom, LINK is the first invocation released for the Aquarian age, and it has the purpose of raising the Ma-ter light in your beings but doing so in a gentle and balanced way that will form an upward momentum. And thus, this invocation is the synthesis between the teachings given by Jesus and the new teachings of the Aquarian age that will be brought forth through the ascended masters in this age, and principally through our beloved Saint Germain, who is the hierarch of this age.

Therefore, this invocation has the potential to facilitate the transition from the Piscean consciousness to the Aquarian consciousness. And why did Jesus come when he came? He came to set the stage for this age. And although his teachings have been lost or have been perverted, truly his teachings have done what they were supposed to do because they have brought humankind to the point, where people are ready to be awakened.

And you are here to be the instruments for awakening them. And we give you this invocation to enable you, to empower you, to take that last step and overcome the downward pull, the drowsiness, the lethargy, the heaviness of planet earth, so that you can rise above it and really become the God-free beings that you are who can keep moving up and up and up infinitely, until you finally move up out of the entire material universe and make your permanent ascensions and thereby become the magnets above. For as Jesus said, “I, if I be lifted up will draw all men unto me,” and that is indeed your potential and your highest desire—to see planet earth rise.

Not because you are interfering with people’s free will but because you are pulling them up, so that they voluntarily choose because now they finally see the light, the light that is in you and is embodied in you in such a tangible manifestation that they can no longer deny it, that they can no longer ignore it, that they can no longer remain asleep because that spark of light leaps from your heart into their hearts and it reawakens that original spirit spark, that original threefold flame, that has gone out because of the misuse of the light over so many lifetimes.

This invocation has the potential to be the tool that will empower you to raise the light in your beings and therefore also empower you to raise the light in the collective consciousness.

The rosary vigils are the capstone of the pyramid

My Beloved hearts, it was with a smile that I heard your questions this afternoon to Jesus, where so many of your questions tuned in to the precise teachings that I am bringing out in the new book. LINK Do you think that was a coincidence? Nay, it was because you have been faithful in giving these last four rosary vigils. And these four rosary vigils have not only raised your own consciousness, they have raised the consciousness of planet earth immensely.

I do not say this to cause conceit, but I must tell you that the people around the world who have participated in these four vigils have rendered a service to this planet that is unprecedented. Never before have so few done so much for so many—to paraphrase the words of Winston Churchill. Never before has such a service had such an impact on the consciousness of this planet as these four rosary vigils. Because you have, by being willing to resolve things in your own consciousness, pulled up the entire collective consciousness. And you have resolved things that have lingered in the collective consciousness for tens of thousands of years and that have been pulling people down for that long.

And thereby, you have brought people to the point, where the lifestream has been awakened, where the “Conscious Yous” of so many people have been awakened, where they are now ready to step through the veil and realize that there is more to life. And you will see this happen in the coming years.

Truly, I can tell you that you will most likely never get the credit for this here on earth. Because people will simply bask in the light of their newfound freedom, and they will come out and join whatever spiritual activity that appeals to their hearts, and this is as it should be. And you will see, in the coming decades, that many groups will claim that they brought about this change. And truly, all of the groups that are part of the spiritual renewal have played an essential part in this awakening. They all deserve credit for it, but I have to tell you that once in a while a certain group of people takes a step that puts the capstone on the pyramid. And truly, if all of the other stones in the pyramid had been missing, the capstone could not have been placed on the pyramid.

Yet I have to tell you that these rosaries that we have brought forth – that are sponsored not only by me but by many other members of the ascended masters, including Jesus and Saint Germain – truly are the capstone of the pyramid that leads from the Piscean to the Aquarian age. And whether you ever get credit for this on earth is of no importance because I know that you would all prefer to have your reward in heaven. And you shall have that reward—if you keep moving up and transcending yourself so that you can enter your Father’s kingdom and receive that reward.

And I can tell you that I will be the first one to greet you—unless Jesus or Saint Germain manage to get to the door first . . . but I shall give them a good race to the door.

Do not wait for the ideal conditions

And therefore, I now say, with the love of my heart, I release this new invocation, and I encourage you to give it. And while you give it, remember my words. There will never come a time on planet earth where conditions are ideal for spiritual growth or for manifesting your Christhood. Therefore, in order to rise higher, you will have to take the conditions as they are and then transcend them.

No matter how tired you are, it is of no importance because you can rise above any situation. And truly, if you are not the doer, does it matter that the outer conditions are not ideal. My Beloved, there are those who sit around, saying, “Oh, when conditions are right, I will manifest my Christhood.” And they will never manifest their Christhood because the Christ is not here to wait for the earth to manifest the right conditions for Christhood. The Christ is here to take dominion over the earth and raise the Mother light to outpicture the perfect conditions that are held in the immaculate concept.

And that is the true meaning of taking dominion over the earth. And with men, with the human consciousness, it is impossible for you to take dominion. But with God in you, with the Christ in you, all things are possible. And therefore, you can raise the earth to outpicture the Golden Age. And it can happen so quickly that future shock will take on an entirely new meaning. And many people on earth will wake up, and they will say, “How could this happen? How could this change happen so quickly? How could society all of a sudden change? How could we avoid all these calamities that were prophesied, how could we avoid these wars, these earthquakes these earth changes. Why didn’t they come to pass?” And they will sit around wondering what happened instead of being the ones who made it happen by allowing God in them to manifest the Golden Age.

Therefore, I thank you and I thank all of those around the world who have participated in these four rosary vigils.*** Because I must tell you that when we started the Rosary to God’s Will, these almost four months ago, there was no guarantee that I would be able to stand here today and release this new invocation. There needed to be a critical mass of people who took up the four rosaries and gave them faithfully. There needed to be a critical raising of the consciousness of planet earth before we could release this next invocation.

And therefore, my heart truly overflows with gratitude for all of you around the world who have given these rosaries, even if you only gave them once, even if you were not able to give them every day, you have my full gratitude because everything you did contributed to the building of the critical mass that has brought us to where we are today. And therefore I thank you, and I want you to know that we appreciate here Above what you are being here below.  And thus I seal you in the name of Jesus Christ, Saint Germain and Mother Mary, for we are the Divine Family for the Aquarian Age. It is sealed.

** Kundalini is the eastern term for the Mother light that rises from the energy center (chakra) at the base of the spine to the crown chakra, located at the top of the head. The raising of this energy is the key to all spiritual growth.
*** During the spring of 2005, Mother Mary requested that people participated in a special vigil of giving four of her rosaries for 33 days each.

My Beloved hearts, I wish to impart to you the joy of a Mother’s heart, the joy that a Mother feels when she sees that her children are growing up, are unfolding like beautiful flowers in the fields on a beautiful spring day, are coming into their own, are becoming truly spiritually independent because they have been willing to participate in what might seem like a simple ritual of giving my Independence Rosary for these past almost 33 days. If you could see the immense change that has happened on planet earth over these past 33-day cycles, starting with the Rosary of God’s Will, the Rosary of Wisdom, the Rosary of Nurturance and now the Rosary of Independence. If you could see the changes that have happened, you would leap for joy because you would see that something, something never before seen on planet earth, has taken place. And all of a sudden a light has started spreading from the East to the West. All of a sudden there is new hope in all who are part of the energy system of Mother earth.

There is a new awakening, a new awareness, that is being born at this time. It is not only your effort that has brought this about. It has been brought about by all those people – all those pure hearts, wherever they are found in different movements and religions, or even in their own individual closets where they pray – who have been willing to open their consciousness to the true love of the Divine Mother, the Universal Mother who loves all life and is not partial to any particular group.

So many have seen Mother Mary as belonging to the Catholic religion. And although I am grateful for those Catholics who maintain a devotion to my heart, I am also grateful for the many people who have begun to see beyond the Catholic mold that has been put upon me—as they have begun to see beyond the orthodox mold that has been put upon Jesus for these past centuries.

My Beloved, I come to simply impart to you the immense gratitude for those of you who have participated in this ritual of my rosaries. Ah, what gratitude and love I feel for your service, for truly if no one in embodiment responded to the teachings of the ascended masters, how could we bring change to earth? God’s law mandates that what happens on earth is according to the free-will choices of human beings. We cannot save people against their will. We can lead them to water but we cannot make them drink.

Yet when some people in embodiment take the offering we give and multiply their talents, then a light starts shining. And that light is the light that is set on a hill, where it cannot be hid. And gradually more and more people will sense the shift that has happened, and they will wonder what are the new energies that are flowing through their beings. And as they gradually start to tune in to those energies, they can be awakened, they can be contacted on the outer and they too can see that there is something they can do to assist the Divine Mother.

Ah my beloved, I will tell you more about my rosaries and I will tell you more about the magnificent new rosary that we are releasing. Yet for now I simply want to welcome you to the upper room of the Mother’s heart, and then I will let my beloved Joseph speak to you.

Ascended Master Mother Mary, May 2, 2005

There is rejoicing in heaven in this hour. There is excitement. There is joy. There is the sense that a line has been crossed, that a point of no return has been reached and that the earth will never be the same.

My Beloved hearts, you are the cause of that rejoicing, for you have been faithful over the few things that we have given you in the Rosary of All-pervading Wisdom. You have been faithful and have given this rosary every day for these past 33 days, and in doing so you have forged a trail in the collective consciousness of humankind. You have cleared a pathway through the jungle of lies and illusions that fill up the mental body of planet earth, the mental body of humankind and the mental bodies of each individual on this plant, except for the rare few who have managed to attain a level of Christhood that allows them to see through the lies. And of course, those of you who have been able to recognize the value of this rosary are among those who have a degree of Christhood. And thus it has been your privilege and your calling to be the forerunners and to forge this trail for the millions who are behind you and who are waiting for the trail to be opened, so that they can follow it and see their way home.

Thus I can tell you that this vigil has been a tremendous accomplishment on a planetary scale. You have been the instruments here below and we have been the instruments here Above for turning a new page in the history book of planet earth. Never again will the lies and illusions of anti-christ have the same hold over humankind. Never again will the forces of anti-christ be able to fool people, as they have been able to fool them for thousands of years.

Thus I congratulate you, and all members of the ascended masters give you a standing ovation, not to boost the pride of the ego, for you are the ones who have been willing to beat down your egos through this last rosary and through the Rosary of God’s Will. Therefore, it is appropriate that we give you recognition, not the recognition of the ego that so many people seek and that even so many people on the spiritual path seek, but the true recognition of the Christ within you, the I AM Presence within you that truly is the doer in your lives.

And when you give these rosaries, you should know that they are specifically designed to provide a chalice here below, a chalice of words, that is raised up so that the Conscious You raises up that chalice of the Living Word, whereby your I AM Presence can pour the pure light of God into that chalice. Because the cup of Christ that you raise up will hold the light of God, so that it will not spill on the ground and so that the pearls will not be cast before swine, the swine as a symbol of your own egos and the forces of this world.

Those without spiritual light mirror back your own light

So many people come to the spiritual path and come to spiritual organizations with a desire to have their egos pampered, to be praised, to be recognized, to stand out from the crowd and feel that they are somehow better than others because they are members of a particular religion or organization, because they follow a particular teaching or guru and because they do this or do that.

My Beloved hearts we have seen these ego games played over and over again for millions of years—millions of years, I tell you. We have seen millions of people awaken, for a brief moment, to the spiritual side of life, find a spiritual teaching, start to apply that teaching, and then gradually, without even noticing it, they get caught in the age-old ego games. And they use that spiritual teaching to prop up their egos, their sense of pride, their sense of being the favorite sons, the chosen people.

We have had enough of those ego games. And I know that some of you who have been willing to give these last rosary vigils have also had enough of those ego games. And therefore, it is time and high time that some people on earth choose to set an example for all people to see that it is possible for everyone to rise above the human ego, to be free of the lies promoted by the forces of this world and to simply BE who they are as God-free beings. It is time that someone demonstrate that one can be the sun shining from within themselves, instead of seeking some kind of recognition from the world, thinking that they need something from the world in order to shine their light.

There are indeed many people on the earth who need something from the world in order to shine light because they have no light of their own. They are empty shells. And many of the so-called high and mighty on the earth, many of the politicians, the business people, and even many of the artists and thinkers, those who are recognized by the society as celebrities, many of these people have no light of their own. But they have learned a skill that is taught to them by the father of lies and his henchmen, and that is to be a mirror that mirrors back the light of those who follow them.

You see, there are many people on earth who are truly the sons and daughters of God that have come into embodiment to set this planet free. And they know deep within their beings the importance of being obedient to the higher will. This is truly the higher will of God, the higher will of their own I AM Presence, the higher will of the masculine aspect of their beings, to which the Conscious You must be obedient and aligned in order to be whole and to be nurtured and to fulfill its reason for being in this world.

Yet when the Conscious You forgets why it is here, forgets its reason for being, its divine plan or even its knowledge that it is a spiritual being, then the self does not know what true obedience means. It knows it needs to be obedient to something higher, but it does not know to what it needs to be obedient. It tends to look for some leader in this world that it can follow. And the false leaders know this, and so they set themselves up and claim to have some authority, or some skill, or some importance, and then the sons and daughters of God, who accept this person as being of importance, send that person their light. And the person then uses that light to mirror it back to the world and prop up the false image of their self-importance.

And you see this so many times, so many times over and over again by the important people, the so-called important people, of this world. And you find them everywhere, even in spiritual organizations, where they set themselves up as leaders for the glorification of their egos and not for the glorification of the I AM Presence and the God behind the I AM Presence.

Truly God has no need to be worshipped as Jesus has explained. Yet God allows people to worship him because God is beyond the ego and will therefore not misuse the light sent in worship. And in worshipping God, people will at least not worship an idol on earth, and that is better than worshipping a false idol down here. And hopefully people can then transcend the need to worship anything outside themselves and come to the recognition, as Jesus told you, that the kingdom of God is within you and that you need nothing from this world in order to be whole in order to be fully nurtured.

The Rosary of Nurturance

And this then brings me to this next release of a most magnificent rosary. And my beloved, I know that every time we have released a rosary to you, I have said that this is the most important or the highest rosary yet. But you must understand that when we bring forth a new rosary, that rosary comes out of our own beings and it truly is a higher rosary than could be given before because the other rosaries have brought the collective consciousness to a higher level. And thus this Rosary of Miracle Nurturance could not have been brought forth even two months ago.

You see, had there not been the foundation set of the vigil of the Rosary of God’s Will and the vigil of the Rosary of Wisdom, it would have been pointless to bring out this rosary because the collective consciousness would not have been ready for it, and your individual consciousness would not have been ready for it. And thus, it would have been like casting pearls before swine, even though I do not consider any of you to be swine. Nevertheless, what has happened over these past months is that we have carved a trail that has led us to the point, where we can now address the central problem in the relationship between God and man. And that central point is that it truly is, as Jesus said, the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Receiving the kingdom without dying

And this does not mean, as many people believe, that after you die your soul will ascend to heaven and then you will inherit the kingdom. No, it means that God wants to give you the kingdom right here on earth because he wants to turn planet earth into his kingdom, where there is no darkness, no evil, no lies, no illusion, no suffering, no pain and no lack of nurturance. Do you see, this truth has been hidden for so many thousands of years because the prince of this world and his henchmen have carefully hidden it, and they have destroyed all teachings, or attempted to destroy all teachings, that have brought out this truth and they have killed all prophets that preach this truth.

You see, they want planet earth for themselves. They want to keep God out of this earth, out of this material universe. They want it to be a place where God is not found. And how can they do this? They can do this only by fooling God’s sons and daughters into believing that it is not possible to have God’s kingdom on earth and that God’s kingdom can only exist in heaven. Thus, they can inherit God’s kingdom only after they leave this planet.

They have even used the magnificent example set by Jesus to come in with subtle lies that make it seem like Jesus had to die on the cross and thus it was only after his death that he was resurrected, and likewise only after your death will you inherit the kingdom of God. Oh my beloved, there are even some New Age teachings that reinforce this view, giving rise to a belief that the goal of life is to make your ascension and that you will make your ascension only after the death of your physical body. But you see, this is a misuse of the teachings we have given. For truly, the goal of life is to ascend but ascension means the ascension to a higher state of consciousness. And you can ascend to a higher state of consciousness right here on earth while you are still in a physical body.

You can ascend by recognizing that the kingdom of God is within you. It is already within you. You can inherit the kingdom right here on earth. You do not have to go to some physical heaven portrayed by some religions. You do not have to go anywhere else because there is only one place to inherit the kingdom of heaven and that is right here. And there is only one time to inherit the kingdom of heaven and that is right now.

The illusion of time and space

You see, in order to inherit the kingdom of heaven, you have to transcend the illusion that you are separated from the kingdom, and that illusion is based on the two coordinates that human beings call time and space. The illusion that if you are here, you cannot be everywhere and that if you are in this particular moment, you cannot be in the eternal now. This is the illusion created by the consciousness of separation from the source of all life. This is the illusion created by Lucifer and all those who followed him. It is the illusion they have done everything in their power to force upon the people of earth, and they will do everything in their power to prevent you from escaping that illusion.

But my beloved hearts, they will not be able to maintain the stranglehold which that illusion has had over the minds of humankind. Because the chains have already been broken. And as more and more people shatter the illusion and throw off the shackles that you are limited by time and space – that time and space separates you from God’s kingdom and prevents you from inheriting that kingdom – well then, the trail in the collective consciousness will be expanded and more and more people will be able to discover and follow it. And thus, we who are above time and space have created a plan to help those of you who still think you are trapped in time and space to transcend that final illusion, which is truly the illusion of death. Not so much the illusion that death is the end, but the illusion that eternal life and the kingdom of God does not begin until after death, until after you exit this world.

The illusion that we have come to shatter is the illusion that you cannot inherit your Father’s kingdom while you are in a physical body on planet earth. The illusion that although it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, you cannot have that kingdom on earth because earth cannot express the perfection of God. Oh, what a lie this is. What a lie it is. What a ridiculous lie it is. And one day you will truly see how ridiculous it is and you will laugh with me. You will laugh at the devil until he runs away and gives up planet earth, seeking some other place to play his tricks on those of weaker minds.

Accepting the nurturance of God

What will it take for you, while you are here in a physical body, to accept that it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom and to accept that kingdom of the abundant life, the perfect nurturance of your soul?

I am fully aware that when you look at this planet you will see so many people who are suffering, so many people who are in pain, who do not have enough to eat, who live in abject poverty in a seemingly hopeless situation where they have no chance of improving their lot. You will see so much pain and suffering, so much lack of nurturance. You will see so many people who feel that they are not nurtured by God and for whom the promise that God will give them his kingdom might even seem like an insult added to their injury.

And yet this is an illusion. It is a very persistent illusion for many people. And I am aware that some of you have had very difficult lives, but I am also aware that over these past thirty-three days, some of you have reconnected to the divine plan that the Conscious You created before you came into embodiment. You have reconnected to the higher will of your I AM Presence, to the higher desires of your conscious self. And you know that what you have experienced was something you chose to experience, so that you could show other people that it is possible to rise above it.

So what is the key to beginning a journey of rising above your present situation, your present difficulties? What is the key to starting the process that will help you come to the point of fully accepting your Father’s kingdom right here on this earth? The key was given by beloved Jesus to this messenger when he was training him to serve in this capacity. He told him one very important sentence:

“If you do not have it, you do not need it.”

This is the starting point of the journey that can lead you from where you are now, wherever that may be, to the point where you can fully accept your divine inheritance. No matter how difficult your situation might be, your situation can serve as a stepping stone, as a springboard for coming up higher in consciousness, for transcending some human limitation. And this transcendence of some aspect of your current situation is the key to inheriting your Father’s kingdom. This was explained by Jesus in another statement:

“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:21)

You see, no matter what your situation is right now, no matter how difficult it may seem, no matter how difficult it may be, you chose that situation so that you could demonstrate for others that it is possible to experience great difficulty and to still transcend it and come up higher and use whatever outer situation you have to raise your consciousness and come closer to inheriting your Father’s kingdom. This is the lesson of the all pervading wisdom that penetrates any difficulty you might be facing to make the Conscious You realize that there is more, that there is a way out, that it is possible to come up higher.

Yet as beloved Jesus also explained in his discourse on healing, you cannot give away something until you fully own it. The key to transcendence is to first accept your situation as it is right now, to accept that you chose it, that it is a result of choices you made. These may be imperfect choices that you made in the past and thereby created the karma you are now facing, but more than likely, part of them were also choices you made when you designed your divine plan and your goal of demonstrating the path of overcoming human limitations in this age.

And yet, as Jesus explained, sometimes when you come into embodiment, you are so overwhelmed by the difficulty of your situation, that you forget this higher goal, and so you will not accept this or that aspect of your outer situation, whether it be a disease or some other aspect of your situation. And therefore, you subconsciously or consciously push it away from you. You try to avoid it. You try to ignore it. You try to escape it in various ways without fully taking ownership.

And this means that you are not faithful over a few things because you have buried your talents in the ground. You have buried whatever talents God gave you. And remember Jesus’ parable about the talents, and how one servant was given ten talents and another was given two. So even if you feel that life has dealt you a difficult hand, this is still a result of your past choices and it is still your platform for transcendence, for coming up higher. The key is to accept your present situation, to take ownership of it, to accept that it is the result of choices you made in the past. And therefore, by discovering those choices and replacing them with better choices, you can transcend your current situation and your current state of consciousness.

So many people live their entire lives feeling that, “If only I had this or that, then I could be happy or then I could fulfill my mission.” Yet as Jesus explained, you will not progress until you accept that you currently have everything you need. You might not have everything you need to fulfill your highest desires, but you do have everything you need to transcend your current situation, your current level of consciousness. And when you do transcend, when you prove yourself faithful over the things you have been given, then God can multiply your talents and give you more.

So as you continue this process of using what you have to take the next step on the path, God will multiply what you have. And when you come into full alignment with your divine plan, the entire universe will rejoice in helping you fulfill that plan, and thus you will have everything you need. For the promise that God will reward you is not only a promise, it is a divine law that is as inevitable as the law of gravity seems to most people.

Taking command over the four lower bodies

And yet what is the key to going through the process of coming up higher? Well it must begin with the acceptance, by taking ownership, of your situation. And when you have taken ownership, you can say, “I accept this situation as the result of my past choices. And in that acceptance I also declare that I know that when I change those choices, when I replace my past choices with enlightened choices, then my situation will change.“

And then you can start focusing your attention on the process of changing your consciousness and making better choices rather than focusing on the outer situation and the unfairness of that situation, which only keeps you trapped in a lower state of consciousness, a sense of being a victim, a sense of being paralyzed and being unable to do anything about your situation.

And when you have overcome that sense of being a victim, of being paralyzed, then you can begin to realign yourself with the totality of your greater being. And the first step in that process is to realize that there is a will that is greater than the outer will of the ego and the outer will of the forces of this world, even the people around you. And that will is the will of your I AM Presence, which is the will of God individualized for you. And that was what we had you do in the vigil of the Rosary to God’s Will. You realigned yourself with the higher will. And in realigning yourself with the higher will, you cleared your etheric body. And as Jesus has explained, you have four bodies and the highest of those lower bodies is the etheric body which holds your sense of identity.

By realigning yourself with the truth that you are a spiritual being, no matter how mortal or human you might seem, you have taken the first step on your road back to inheriting God’s kingdom. For truly God’s kingdom cannot come from below; it must come from Above—from a higher vibration. All good things are from Above, and as Jesus has explained, all good things must cycle through the four levels of the matter universe and that is why you start at the top. You cannot inherit God’s kingdom by starting from the bottom and work your way back up. You need to start from the top and let the light of God descend because it is the light that will transform you, not the lower will, not the lower energies of this world.

The next step is to go within the next body, the mental body and clear that mental body of the illusions, the ego-illusions and the illusions of anti-christ. And this is what you did in the Rosary of All-pervading Wisdom. After that comes the third step, which is to clear the emotional body, and the emotional body is the body that makes you feel nurtured or makes you feel that you are deprived, that you are caught in lack, limitations, suffering, and pain. It might make you feel that you are unjustly dealt a difficult hand by life, that you are unfairly treated by God who is withholding his abundance from you while giving it to others.

This is the Cain consciousness of being jealous of those who have more in this world, even though many of those who have the most in this world have very little in the spiritual world and thus they have nothing of real value. They have no treasure laid up in heaven because they have chosen to have their reward on earth.

You see, my beloved, the emotions are like water and you know how the water of the ocean is easily whipped into waves that are chaotic, and so is the emotional body of man. The key to realigning that emotional body with the reality of God is that it must be under the control of the mental body, specifically the mind of Christ focused in that mental body. You might see the emotional body as a child and you are the parent, and through the mental body, the higher reasoning of the Christ mind, you can make the child understand that it needs to behave in certain ways in order to be rewarded. And if that it does not behave in those ways, it will be punished, it will not receive the reward.

How to have nurturance

That is why you will see that the new rosary of nurturance speaks to the emotional body, speaks to the emotional aspect of the soul, as to a child. And it explains to the child what has happened and why the child feels deprived and why the child cannot receive its reward until it comes into alignment with the reality of how that reward can be received.

This rosary is most profound. And as you give it, you will sense the profound effect not only on your own emotions, but there will be an effect on the emotional body of humankind, and that effect will be unparalleled in known history. Truly, you will see an overall calming of the emotions. But you will also see some people who will rise up and act out the very worst of the immature and childish emotions.

You will even see some of the mighty people on earth, some of the powerful people on earth, who will act out childish and immature emotions on the world stage. And they might indeed cause some temporary suffering, but even this is part of the plan of helping more and more people see the immaturity and the dysfunction of the collective consciousness and the collective emotions, so that they will say, “This simply cannot go on. We must discipline that unruly child. This is enough, and we will not tolerate this behavior anymore.”

Faith, knowledge and prayer

I would like to speak to you on a topic that is extremely important in terms of accepting God’s nurturance. You have all heard about the concept of faith as it has been promoted by so many religions, but especially the orthodox Christian religions. You have all read in the Bible that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). But what you do not always realize is that even this particular Bible quote is a distortion of the true teachings of Christ.

Jesus did not teach that faith is the substance of things hoped for. He taught that knowledge is the substance of things hoped for. And with knowledge he did not mean outer, intellectual knowledge. He meant inner knowledge, gnosis, the true inner gnosis whereby the knower becomes one with the known. Jesus did not teach that you should pray to an external God and then simply believe the answer would be forthcoming. And if your prayer is not answered, you should just keep believing indefinitely, as if those who keep believing will eventually be saved.

Jesus taught and demonstrated that you invoke God’s assistance from within yourself, and you do so with the absolute inner knowing that when you ask, you WILL receive. And thus, if your prayer is not answered, you can reason that you did not have the true inner knowing. Perhaps you had faith, but not yet the full knowing that is the highest aspect of faith. So instead of simply keeping on believing, you can go to work on yourself, on resolving the blocks that prevent you from having the inner knowing – the absolute certainty – that comes through oneness with your Christ self. You see, many Christians have completely misunderstood Jesus’ teaching on faith, and they have instead accepted the teachings of anti-christ that keep them suspended in a state of outer faith that blocks their inner knowing, their true Gnosis.

This is a most essential key to inheriting your Father’s kingdom. You see, most religious people have also been brought up to believe in a completely false teaching concerning prayer, concerning invoking something from above, concerning invoking God’s assistance in their lives. They have been taught a serpentine lie that springs from the mind of anti-christ, namely that prayer is invoking a miracle. And sometimes the miracle happens, but most of the time it does not happen. And there is no way to know when it will happen and when it will not happen, because it is all a mystery that is decided by God. But you see, this is a complete fallacy because God does not sit up in heaven and arbitrarily decide to give one person a miracle and to withhold it from another.

It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give his kingdom to all of his children. But to inherit that kingdom, you must realign yourself with the reality of God. And you cannot do that through outer knowledge, through intellectual knowledge, through outer faith or through blind adherence to some ritual. You can do that only by going within. You can do it only through gnosis, whereby you transcend belief, you transcend faith, and you come to the inner knowing that when you invoke God’s intercession, God’s Presence, in your life, your call WILL compel the answer. Ask and ye shall receive. Because truly it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7).

But you see, there are two things you need to know. First of all, you need to know that when you ask, your desire cannot spring from the lower desire of your ego or the desires that have been put upon you from your culture and the forces of this world. These lower desires are self-centered and they disregard the whole. And precisely because God wants ALL of his children to inherit the kingdom, he cannot answer a prayer that seeks the abundance of one person by depriving the whole. Thus, when you pray from a selfish desire, you create a counter-force that opposes the fulfillment of your desire. In a sense the entire universe will oppose the fulfillment of your desire. And if you seek to take something by force, the counter force you create will take from you what you seek to possess. As Jesus said, “For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” (Matthew 25:29)

Unto everyone who has love and regard for the whole shall be given and he or she shall have abundance. Yet to him who has no love, everything shall be taken away by the very counter force he creates in seeking to fulfill his ego-centered desires. So in order to truly ask, you must realign your desires, your desire body, with the higher desires of the Conscious You, that are part of your divine plan, and with the higher will of your I AM Presence, that is one with the will of God for your lifestream.

And when you are in that state of alignment, then the answer to any prayer will be given because the entire universe will gladly assist in fulfilling your divine plan. The reason being that your personal divine plan is in alignment with the greater plan of God, and thus what is best for you is also what is best for the whole of God’s creation.

Never doubt the process

You must also realize that the answer to your prayer must follow the process, whereby the pure energy of the spiritual realm becomes lowered in vibration, until it manifests as the energy that makes up the material realm. So the answer to your true desire is instantly given by God. But before that request, before that answer is manifest physically in your life, it must cycle through the four levels of the material universe. And if you have blockages, if you have wrong beliefs or unresolved substance at any of those levels, then the answer to your prayer can be blocked at any of those levels. And therefore, it can take time. There can be a delay between your prayer and the point where the answer to your request is manifest in the physical.

And the more blockages you have in your four lower bodies, the greater your delay. And this is actually the creation of time, where the delay shows the distance between where you are right now in consciousness and where you would be if you were in the full Christ consciousness. The key to precipitating God’s answer to your prayer is to overcome that sense of distance, that distance in consciousness, and this cannot be done in one single step. But it can be done by being faithful over the few things that you have right now.

In order to be faithful, you need to know that when you are willing to surrender yourself to the higher will and the higher desires of your Conscious You and I AM Presence, you WILL receive an answer to your call. And if that answer is not forthcoming, you should never, ever allow yourself to go into a state of doubt or to go into a state of blaming God for not answering your prayer. Instead, you should reason as follows, “If my prayer, if my invocation, is not instantly answered, there is always a reason. One possibility is that my prayer is not in alignment with the higher desires of my Conscious You, with my divine plan, and with the higher will of my I AM Presence. And thus I must reexamine my prayer, reexamine my consciousness and be willing to come up higher. Or it is possible that the answer was given but it has not cycled through into the physical because I have too many blockages that are slowing it down or holding it up. And so by continuing to work on myself, to work on removing those blockages through discovering the hang-ups in my psychology and through transforming the negative energy that blocks the descent of God’s light, then I know the answer will be forthcoming.“

If you ask with a pure mind and heart, you WILL receive. And this is the key to inheriting your Father’s kingdom; that you overcome the doubt that has been put upon people by the prince of this world for so many eons. You must overcome that doubt and you must replace it, not with faith as taught to you by the orthodox religions because faith without works is dead. And works does not necessarily mean outer works, it means the inner works of your knowing, your being willing to reunite yourself with your inner being, the higher desires of the Conscious You, the will of your I AM Presence.

Thereby, you not only believe, but you know that the call compels the answer and that it will be given. You know this because you realize that it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, and thus having God’s abundance is the natural state of affairs. Thus, if you do not have abundance, you know that something is blocking it from manifesting in the physical realm. And when you remove those blockages, the abundance will naturally and inevitably descend. So if the answer is not immediately forthcoming, you know that you must change yourself and then, when you bring yourself into alignment with who you really are in God, the answer will be manifest and you will receive the nurturance that you so desire.

Yet the works are also the knowing that you are not in this world to accumulate the treasures or to lose yourself in the pleasures of this world. You are here to transcend. You are here to fulfill your divine plan, which is to demonstrate, for all people to see, that it is possible to overcome the human condition and all limitations of that condition.

Why the power elite want to uphold the illusion of lack

You need to reach deeper than the outer desires, the false desires, programmed into your mind by a consumer culture that makes you think that you are incomplete unless you have this or that trinket that they offer you for a price. And what is behind this culture? It is the very consciousness of anti-christ, which makes you think that you are incomplete in and of yourself, that you need something from somewhere outside of yourself in order to be complete. And thus, the kingdom of God is outside of you, and you must go through some door outside yourself to enter that kingdom. This is the entire strategy of the prince of this world; to make you believe that the kingdom of God is outside of you, and that you must go through a door, through this or that religion, through this or that belief system or through this or that pleasure or possession. My Beloved, can you not see that his scheme is set up for only one purpose, namely to control you!

In making you believe in this lie, you automatically come to believe in the lie of lack, that there is not enough of God’s abundance in this world for everyone. And thus, some people are the haves and some are the have-nots. And the difference is that the haves have been willing to take it by force, to control it, to hold on to it, to hoard it, whatever they want to possess. They have taken their reward here on earth instead of laying up treasures in heaven. And in thinking that you need to possess one aspect, one thing, then you set yourself apart from the flow of God’s abundance that flows as a giant river through all of God’s creation.

And yet, because of free will, that river has been diverted so that it currently by-passes planet earth and so many people live in lack, suffering and poverty. And this is not the will of the Father, for it is his pleasure to give all of his children his kingdom. Yet you have the free will to reject that kingdom, if you so choose. And many souls on earth have done that because they have somehow come to accept the illusion that they want or need to experience lack, that they are not worthy to have the fullness of God’s kingdom or that it is not possible for all people to have the abundant life.

My beloved, much of this lie springs from the fact that Lucifer and certain other beings in heaven wanted to be recognized as being above and beyond other beings created by God. Anyone caught in the mindset of anti-christ wants to uphold the culture of lack on earth, so that they can have more than the general population and therefore feel that they are above and beyond that population, that they are more and more important. And this is a perversion of the expanding force of the Father, the drive to become more.

You see, they are not trying to become more, they are trying to trick you into becoming less so that it seems like they have more, they are more. But in reality, they are less for they have no love, no light, in them. And they can only maintain their illusion of being more by forcing you to live in poverty. And that is why the power elite on this earth does not want the abundant life to be manifest on earth. They want to stand out as an elite that has more than the rest of the population.

This is in complete opposition to the will of God, the vision of God, the original desire of God for this planet and this universe. Before you can inherit your Father’s kingdom, you must overcome the temptations, the temptations that Jesus experienced when he came out of the wilderness and was tempted by the devil. And take note that in one of those temptations, the devil promised him that he could have all the kingdoms of this world if he would fall down and worship the devil.

And there are people on earth, those in the elite, who are pursuing that dream, thinking that they can somehow come to own and control and possess all of the kingdoms of this world by following the devil—even though they do not see it as following the devil and would never admit that they are devil worshippers. They think they are either doing what God has appointed them to do or even doing God’s work because they are his favorite sons.

Transcend time and space

I come to call you to overcome that illusion. And if you will faithfully give this Rosary of Nurturance, you will indeed make great strides toward that goal. I know that this rosary will be difficult for many of you because this rosary goes to the very core of your relationship to God. You will feel that all of the emotions stored in your emotional body that oppose your oneness with God will rise up and challenge your progress on the path. And your ego and the forces of this world will truly tempt you to give up on this rosary. But I must tell you that those of you who will be faithful over the few things you have been given in this rosary, will indeed transcend, and thus you will inherit the many things that God is waiting to give you.

I say to you, “Take this gift from my heart, from the gift of beloved Omega who is the highest representative of the Divine Mother in this world of form. Even the gift of our beloved Father, Alpha, who is the highest representative of the Divine Father.” Oh yes, my beloved, balance is the key and that balance can be obtained only through the inner knowing of which I spoke. The inner knowing whereby you realign yourself with the true desires of the Conscious You and the higher will of your I AM Presence, so that you do not seek to own, control and possess the abundance of the Divine Mother as it is found in this world. And so that you do not seek to take heaven by force by using the power of the Father to take, instead of allowing God to give you all, as you are ready to receive. This state of inner knowing is the state of grace. It cannot be achieved through the intellect or through the emotions. It can be achieved only by realigning yourself with your I AM Presence through the mind of Christ, so that you know who you are as a spiritual being. And your mental and emotional bodies are in alignment with that greater identity and with your divine plan that is an expression of that identity.

You see, all good things are from Above, meaning from the higher vibrations of the spiritual realm. But you receive them by going within, for remember that the kingdom of God is within you. Therefore, all true nurturance comes from within yourself, from the sun of your I AM Presence shining through the Conscious You and outer mind. You will never feel the true nurturance for which your soul yearns as long as you keep thinking that the key to being fulfilled is to get something from outside yourself. True nurturance, true happiness, true fulfillment means wholeness, completeness, in your soul. And that can only come when your soul is once again consciously filling its place as a planet orbiting the sun of your I AM Presence.

And thus, having spoken for a full hour, your cup is full and runneth over. I leave you for now to contemplate this teaching, and I advise you to read this discourse over and over again because it will work together with the rosary and the affirmations in the rosary to truly resolve the blockages that prevent you from accepting the Father’s kingdom that he is offering you in the eternal now, the eternal now that can be accessed from any point in space and from any point in time. Because truly, time and space is the ultimate illusion. Shatter it! Transcend it! Go beyond it! Leave it behind! Take my hand, and I will lead you beyond the illusion, beyond the illusion of time and space, until you have conquered the last enemy, which people call death.

In the name of the Divine Father Alpha, the Divine Mother Omega, the Divine Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, I seal you now and I seal your four lower bodies, especially your emotional body. And I say to that emotional body, “Peace be still and know that the I AM in me is God!” It is finished.

My beloved, the purpose of this course is to give you the tools for transforming your consciousness by raising yourself out of the darkness of duality and into the light of the Christ consciousness. This can happen only when you understand and apply the Key of Knowledge. This course is meant to be an outer tool for stimulating intuitive insights from your Christ self and spiritual teachers. Such insights will be carefully adapted to your present level of consciousness and can therefore help you take the next step on your personal path. The teachings in this course are carefully designed to give you the insights you need at any level of the spiritual path. It would be naive to think that you can read this course once and extract everything you could possibly gain from it. This course is the gift that keeps on giving, in that it can serve as an inspiration at any level of the spiritual path. You can never outgrow this course for it truly has teachings that are given for and at many different levels of consciousness. I encourage you to not forget about this course but to use it over and over again, perhaps even read a small section daily, either before you give an invocation or before you go to sleep. 

My goal for this course has been to provide you with an understanding of the basic dilemma of human existence, namely that people have become trapped in the duality consciousness. I have exposed to you the basic dynamics of the mortal self, but even a course as long as this one cannot explain every aspect of the mortal self or everything you need to know in order to walk the spiritual path. I encourage you to read others books about spirituality as you feel directed from within. Certainly, you might want to look at the many other books and teachings given through this messenger.

Be aware that the key to taking a step up the spiral staircase is to have an intuitive insight that replaces a particular dualistic illusion. Such an insight is beyond intellectual understanding. It can be triggered by an outer experience, but the purpose of any true spiritual teaching is to trigger such insights through words so that you can learn your lesson without experiencing the physical consequences of your former actions. Triggering an intuitive experience through words is a highly individual process. Two people might read the same words and one person understands the point intellectually whereas the other has an intuitive experience. The reason is that the words used did not trigger an intuitive experience for the first person.

I encourage you to read other books that talk about the same topics. How can one course use words that will work equally well for all people? Even though I attempt to explain the important points in different contexts and by using different words, there is no guarantee that this course will trigger an intuitive experience for you. Do not become discouraged or think that there is something wrong with you. Keep searching for other books and you will eventually find something that will help you rise higher. At some point in the future you might return to this course and find that you now understand it in a deeper way than before.

My final thought is to, once again, point out the importance of never stopping the process of self-transcendence. Keep taking the next step on the spiritual path until you know – with an inner knowing that is beyond the false security of your mortal self – that you are back in the River of Life. Then flow with that river as it takes you far beyond what you can imagine with your present state of consciousness. God’s abundance is infinite and when you flow with the River of Life, you will go far beyond any limitation that might have been programmed into your mind in this world. The tapestry of life, the fullness of God’s creation, is far beyond the vastness of the night sky. Allow me to make one more attempt to explain to you the essence of the mortal self, or what many people call the human ego. The most important point you can understand about the mortal self is that it is engaged in an impossible quest. The quest is impossible because the mortal self is born of duality. The mortal self has a built-in conflict, a built-in contradiction, that can never – and I truly mean never – be resolved. The mortal self was born when the Conscious You decided that it would no longer make decisions. The real problem with this decision was that the Conscious You denied its true identity, its true nature. The Conscious You denied that it is a co-creator with God, and therefore it denied the fact that – by your very nature – you are worthy and acceptable in the eyes of God. The Conscious You has come to accept the dualistic lie that you are separated from God and that you are not worthy to come back to God because you have made some kind of mistake. In reality, you have only temporarily departed from the immaculate concept by accepting a lower sense of identity, but you can always come back to that pure vision. 

When you accepted the sense of unworthiness, the Conscious You withdrew into a little cage. The Conscious You can never fully withdraw from being conscious. The Conscious You can withdraw from making decisions, but it cannot withdraw from having conscious experiences. The Conscious You can stop making decisions, but it cannot choose to stop experiencing the consequences of its decisions or lack of decisions. Because self-awareness comes before will, the Conscious You cannot choose to stop being conscious, although it can try to numb itself so that it is barely conscious. The Conscious You can never completely lose its longing for wholeness, its longing to come back to God’s kingdom, to once again be in the River of Life and experience the abundant life. This is a safety mechanism that can never be completely turned off. No matter what the Conscious You does, it will always have an inner longing for wholeness, a longing for something more.

When the mortal self was born, it attempted to fill the void that had been created because the Conscious You no longer had a direct experience of its I AM Presence. The mortal self is always engaged in a quest to set itself up as a worthy replacement for your I AM Presence, for the true identity that is still stored in the universal Christ mind. Your inner quest for wholeness can be filled only through oneness with your I AM Presence, the oneness that releases the flow of God’s light through your lower being. That oneness can be attained only when you accept and recognize that you are worthy to face God, to be one with God. The Conscious You has simply forgotten its worthiness, and it can come back to it by recognizing the eternal truth that because you were created as an extension of God, you are inherently worthy to be one with God. In fact, you were never separated from God, you never lost your worthiness.

In contrast to this, the mortal self was not created by God, and thus it never has been, and it never will be, worthy in the eyes of God. The Conscious You has a built-in worthiness because it has an immaculate concept in the universal Christ mind. It is not a matter of earning worthiness by doing things in the matter realm; it is simply a matter of accepting it. The mortal self does not have this built-in worthiness, and therefore it can never earn it. The universal Christ mind does not contain an immaculate concept for the mortal self, and thus this self has nothing, no reality, to which it can return. The mortal self is constantly trying to build a false sense of worthiness, an image of being worthy, which it then builds up to the point where it believes it is acceptable in the eyes of God because of all these outer conditions. It thinks that by doing outer things for God, God will have to let it into the kingdom.

The mortal self is born from the illusion of separation, and therefore it uses the consciousness of separation in an attempt to create an illusion of oneness with God. Of course, that which is born of separation can never come back to oneness. The mortal self is trying to build an image, a golden calf, that is worthy in the eyes of God, and it uses the things of this world to build up that image. It is attempting to say that if it adds together enough “things” built from the duality consciousness, it will be worthy, it can build a tower that reaches into the heavens. No matter how many zeros you add together, they will never add up to one—the oneness with God.

This is an essential key to freeing yourself from the prison of the mortal self. The Conscious You can become whole by accepting its oneness with God whereas the mortal self can never do this. It is seeking to please the remote god, the idol of its own making. The Conscious You simply needs to stop dancing around this golden calf and climb the mountain of God, the mountain of self-transcendence.

The basic frame of mind of the mortal self is that it constantly feels threatened. It feels threatened because it is trying to uphold an illusion, an illusion of worthiness and authority that gives it a sense of security. The mortal self feels that as long as it can convince the Conscious You to believe in its illusion, it will be in control, it will survive. Your mortal self knows that if you were to separate yourself from its illusion, you would stop feeding it energy and thus it would die. To the mortal self, upholding its illusion is literally a matter of life and death. Unfortunately for the mortal self – and fortunately for you – everything in the material world is constantly seeking to tear down its illusion, its false sense of security. To understand the basic dilemma of the mortal self, consider the following:

The Creator is constantly transcending itself. God is the River of Life that is constantly in the process of becoming more.

The duality consciousness is separated from God, and it is not part of the River of Life.

The duality consciousness and your mortal self cannot fathom that God is constantly transcending itself. It cannot experience God’s Being directly. It can know God only by creating a mental image of God.

The mortal self believes God is perfect, and it interprets perfection as something that could not and would not need to change. It believes God is static and it is seeking to create a non-changing image of God. This image inevitably becomes a graven image that will trap you in a limited view of God.

God has given you free will so you have a right to adopt a graven image of God. Such an unchanging image automatically sets you outside the River of Life, and as long as you hold on to that image, you cannot inherit your Father’s kingdom. You cannot have the abundant life.

Because God loves you unconditionally, he does not want you to remain outside his abundance forever. He has designed the material universe in such a way that it always seeks to break down the illusion that you are separated from God. Every aspect of the material universe is designed to challenge the dualistic illusions created by the mortal self.

The primary challenge to a dualistic world view comes from the duality consciousness itself. This state of consciousness is based on two relative opposites that seek to cancel out each other. If your mortal self goes too far into one relative extreme, its world view will inevitably be challenged by the opposite extreme.

Once again, there is a subtle distinction that cannot be grasped by the intellect but can be understood by the heart. When the Conscious You sees itself as one with the River of Life, you know with absolute certainty that God is the ultimate reality behind all surface appearances. You know that the Mother Light can take on any form, but only the forms that express the immaculate concept are ultimately real. Imperfect forms have only a temporary existence, and they have no actual power over you. They are based on an illusion, and if you do not accept the reality of this illusion, it cannot influence you. The prince of this world will come and have nothing in you—because you know that the prince of this world is not real.

When you are in the reality of God, you know there are no opposites, you know that nothing could ever oppose the reality of God. Only God has ultimate reality, and in God there are no divisions, no contradictions. When you partake of the duality consciousness – the knowledge of good and evil – you lose the direct experience of God’s Being, of God’s reality. You now enter a world – a house of mirrors – in which everything is defined by two relative opposites, such as good and evil. Your mortal self is born of separation from the River of Life, and – by its very nature – it has an absolute belief in the reality of relative good and evil. It believes both are real but that one can destroy the other.

The inevitable consequence is that if you believe relative good is real, you will also believe that relative evil is real. If you create a graven image of God, you will inevitably have to create a graven image of the opposite of your relative god, namely the devil. In the world of duality, nothing can exist without an opposite. As long as you believe your relative image of God is real, you will also believe your image of the devil is real. You believe the devil is as real as God, that evil is as real as good. In a sense, it is true that relative evil is as “real” as relative good, but when you step outside the duality consciousness, you see that only God is real and all that is less than God’s absolute good is unreal. It has no objective existence but exists only in the minds of self-aware beings who are trapped in the duality consciousness. It has power over you only if you give it power, if you give it “reality” in your world view.

Consider the consequences of this. When you step into the world of duality, you automatically encounter a threat to everything you believe. This is inevitable because everything has an opposite. You cannot define an idea, a belief system, that will not be instantly opposed by its opposite. If you define something as good, there will instantly be an opposite that you then see as evil. Because you believe both relative opposites are real, you think it is possible for something to oppose and destroy your world view. You believe the devil is real and has the power to threaten you, and therefore you will feel threatened by anything that opposes your world view. This is why the mortal self constantly feels threatened, and this is why many religious people feel threatened by the devil.

My beloved, it is a great burden to my heart that so many people are afraid of the devil, are afraid of evil. Consider how different people deal with this threat. Many Christians fear the devil to such an extent that they dare not even consider ideas that are beyond their literal interpretation of the Bible. They would not even dare to read this course, fearing it is of the devil. Many New Age people are open to new ideas, but they deal with the threat of evil by ignoring it, by refusing to even consider it. Both types of people are trapped in the pattern of running away from something that seems threatening to their sense of security. They both fear evil, and their fear prevents them from taking a closer look at it. If they were willing to overcome their fear and take a closer look, they would realize that evil only exists in the realm of duality. The ultimate way to overcome evil is to separate the Conscious You from the mortal self. When you clear your four lower bodies of dualistic beliefs, the prince of this world will have nothing in you and thus you need not fear anything in this world.

Jesus, the Buddha and other spiritual leaders had no fear of the devil because they had internalized what I have just told you. They had become enlightened to the reality that there is no opposite to God, there is no opposite to Christ truth, to the Buddha nature. The mind of anti-christ thinks it is in opposition to the truth of Christ, but it is simply outside of, disconnected from, the reality of Christ. Anti-christ is trapped in its own world, a world that is inescapably dominated by two relative opposites. Anti-christ is not in opposition to Christ, but in opposition to its own relative version of Christ truth. Evil is not in opposition to the absolute good of God. Evil is a relative force that is in opposition to relative good. The reality of God and the truth of Christ are above all relative opposites. A Christed being is never pulled into the ongoing, dualistic struggle between two relative opposites. A Christed being never takes sides in the human power struggle, which is why the devil could not tempt Jesus. A Christed being stays true to the one vision, the single-eyed vision, of the Christ mind. He or she realizes that the kingdom of God will not be manifest by having relative good replace or eradicate relative evil. The kingdom of God will be manifest only when a critical mass of people rise above the entire dualistic struggle.

My beloved heart, we have traveled a long way. This course has been quite a journey through many different topics, most of which, I am sure, go far beyond what you were told by your outer teachers, be they in a religious or a secular setting. I am grateful that you have been willing to endure with me on this long journey. We are now at a very fortunate point where we can talk about the master key to manifesting abundance in your life. What I have talked about throughout this course is the need to reclaim your true identity as a spiritual being who is here for a higher purpose, namely to bring God’s kingdom into manifestation by using the perfect vision of the Christ mind and the light of God. You can direct the light of God to flow through the vision – the filmstrip – of the Christ mind in your four lower bodies, thereby imposing a perfect image upon the Ma-ter Light that makes up the entire material universe. In order to reclaim that position, in order to multiply your divine individuality and take dominion over the earth, you need to first reach up and reestablish the flow of God’s light through your being, through your four lower bodies. You need to recapture the vision of Christ as the highest vision for your lifestream, for your potential, for your divine plan. Then you need to bring them down through your four lower bodies until you reach the level of the physical mind, the conscious mind. Yet, it is not enough to simply bring the vision and the light down to the matter realm. The real key to manifesting the abundant life is what you do with that light and that vision. 

Many spiritual people are very sincere in their spiritual striving. Some of them have put in decades of effort with various forms of study, meditation or spiritual practices, and they have indeed made much progress. They have raised their own consciousness far beyond where they were when they started. If you will take an honest look at these people, you will discover two tendencies:

Some people have a very strong vision of what needs to happen in order to improve planet earth and make it a better place for all. They are very good at grasping that vision, they are good at explaining it, but oftentimes the vision stays in their heads and is not easily transferred into action.

Some people have established a certain flow of God’s light. They can be very strong, very powerful or they can be very loving and able to fill a room with a positive energy. Such people are often good at taking action, but they sometimes lack the greater vision and are focused on the trees without seeing the forest. They do not always have the vision of what to do with their energy and enthusiasm, thus taking unbalanced actions that do not produce the desired results. Such people often think it is enough to love everyone and accept everything as being good.

There are many people on earth today who have a certain spiritual attainment. They have come to a point where they have the potential to do much good and have an impact on a planetary scale. They have not yet crossed the essential line that needs to be crossed before they can take their attainment out of the realm of potentiality and bring it into the realm of actuality.

Many spiritual people are close to breaking through to the point where they can have a major positive impact on this planet, an impact that will raise the collective consciousness and propel society forwards into a golden age. They have not made a decisive impact, neither in their own lives in terms of manifesting the abundant life, nor at the level of society in terms of raising the quality of life for all. I am in no way trying to diminish people’s sincere efforts. I am only trying to point out that there is a vast potential that is on the brink of breaking through but has not yet been pulled into the matter realm. What is missing, what is the key that is lacking, that people have not discovered or have not internalized? In order to give you this key in its simplest possible form, let me ask you to contemplate the number 8, the figure eight. This is indeed a symbol for what needs to happen in order for you to establish the truly abundant life.

When you look at the figure eight, you can start at the very top, which represents the Creator itself. You can envision that the light is flowing from the Creator down through the levels of the spiritual realm, represented by the upper figure. The light then reaches the nexus of the figure eight, and that nexus is a symbol for your identity body, the very highest point of your identity body. This is the meeting point between spirit and matter, between your higher Being, through which the light of God streams, and your lower being, your four lower bodies, through which you act in this world. What I have taught you in these last several chapters is the way to bring that flow of God’s light from the nexus all the way down to the bottom of the figure eight, which is your conscious mind, your outer mind, and your physical body. In order to truly manifest God’s abundance in your life, you need to complete the circle, to complete the figure-eight flow. You cannot simply let the light sit down here and do nothing, neither can you use it for selfish purposes. Doing so is burying your talents in the ground.

The real question is what you do with the light after you bring it down. You have a choice between the way that seems right onto a human and the true way to the eternal life. The way that seems right onto a human is to reason that since you have put forth an effort to bring the light down, you are entitled to use it for your own gratification. You do indeed see many people who have spiritual attainment, but they are using it only for their own gain or pleasure. Some are on a never-ending quest to raise their own consciousness, perhaps seeking so-called supernatural abilities or peak experiences, yet they are doing this only for their own gratification. Look at the life of Jesus and the life of the Buddha. If they had chosen the path of self-gratification, they would have stayed in the forest or the wilderness, working on raising their own consciousness. Instead, they came to a turning point and returned to the world, spending the rest of their lives working to help others.

I told you about the two types of people who have not brought things into manifestation, and this is truly caused by the fact that these people have not done something with their light, something that reaches beyond themselves. I am not necessarily saying that these people are selfish or egotistical in the lowest sense of the word. I am saying that there are a number of spiritual people on this planet who have become focused on themselves, who have become almost completely absorbed in themselves and their quest for spiritual growth—however they define it. These people are not openly egotistical in the sense that they do whatever they want without considering how it affects other people. Many of them are truly living according to spiritual principles and are not harming other people or the environment. Many of them are found in both the New Age community and in traditional religions, including Christian churches. These people are, from an outer perspective, living a good life, and they are not violating any of God’s laws, at least not any of the outer laws that are described in various religious or spiritual philosophies. They have not truly stepped up and considered what they can do with their spiritual attainment in order to bring God’s kingdom to earth, in order to find their place in the greater, timeless work that is God’s creation. Because they have not reached beyond themselves, they cannot complete the circle so that the light flows back to God.

This is what Jesus described in his parable about the multiplication of the talents. Only when you put your talents to good work, will you multiply them. Only when the talents, or rather the light, is multiplied, can you complete the figure-eight flow so that God can multiply from Above what you have multiplied here below. There will be even more light flowing down the figure eight to your conscious mind. The key to manifesting the abundant life on a permanent basis is to complete the circle by giving freely what you have freely received.

This is an absolutely crucial point. Many spiritual people have not fully understood this point. Many of them are close to understanding it, but they do not have the full, correct and complete understanding. If you do not fully grasp this point, my attempts to help you manifest the truly abundant life will come to naught. Some people have taken their spiritual progress and turned it into a downward spiral without even realizing that they have taken the wrong road, the way that seems right onto a human. They have used their light for self-centered purposes instead of rising to the greater vision that since all life came from the same source, they are one with all life. What they are doing onto others, they are truly doing to themselves. The brutal fact is that such people often think they are doing everything right, yet they are following the path that will inevitably lead to spiritual death, the black hole of becoming more and more self-centered rather than God-centered.

All life is one. As you begin your spiritual journey, you are trapped in the duality consciousness and cannot see this fact. You are too focused on your physical body and mortal self to consider the big picture, to have any sense of oneness with the all. You must begin where you are and seek to raise your own consciousness. Because the collective consciousness on this planet is in such a low state, it is indeed necessary for any spiritual seeker to separate himself or herself from the mass consciousness. You need to be focused on yourself and your own growth in order to escape the downward pull of the mass consciousness. It is indeed valid to be focused on yourself and your own growth, but the crucial point is that this is valid only for a time. You must focus on yourself in order to regain a direct, inner connection to your higher Being. Once you regain that connection, you need to take it to the next level and realize that you are an extension of your Creator and so is every other human being.

When you reach a certain level of oneness with God, you need to develop a sense of oneness with all life. You are no longer simply seeking to raise your own consciousness, you are seeking to raise the consciousness of other people and even the collective consciousness. Only when you give of your light to help others, will you have completed the figure-eight flow, which is what Jesus described when he said: “My Father worketh hitherto and I work” (John 5:17). You are now using your attainment, your light, to work for God’s greater plan, which is to raise everyone to the Christ consciousness. If you do not make the transition from a self-centered to a God-centered view, you will use your light to reinforce the self-centeredness of the mortal self. As shocking as it might seem, many sincere spiritual people have indeed taken this self-centered path. They think they are doing everything right, but their righteousness is falling short of the mark. Instead of multiplying their light and spiritual attainment by helping others, they have turned the light into darkness that only reinforces their mortal selves.

This is what Jesus talked about in a remark that has often been misinterpreted or ignored: “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6:22-23). If your eye is single, you see the oneness of all life. If your eye is evil, meaning divided, you see everything through the consciousness of separation, and thus you see your own interests as being in opposition to or superior to the whole. As you grow spiritually, you will reach a turning point. If you do not start using your spiritual attainment to raise up the whole, you will inevitably pervert your light and attainment, turning it into the darkness of the mind of anti-christ—which denies its oneness with its Creator and with all life.

My beloved heart, we are now ready to talk about the emotional body, and I can tell you that the emotional body is the greatest weapon used by the prince of this world in his efforts to prevent you from manifesting the Christ consciousness and through that consciousness manifest the abundant life. The emotions are a powerful force because without feelings you cannot give momentum and direction to your thoughts, and therefore your thoughts cannot be translated into physical actions and physical manifestations. Because the emotions are easily moved, just as the ocean is easily stirred by a powerful wind, it is not that difficult for the prince of this world and your mortal self to change the direction of your emotions so that they take a slightly wrong path. Many people see a higher vision for their lives and truly desire to change their lives, but they simply cannot bring it into physical manifestation; they cannot make it happen. These people have a certain purity in their identity and mental bodies so they can see a higher vision for their lives. They can see that their lives should be better than they are. Because they have not purified their emotional bodies, have not taken dominion over their feelings, their emotions will often distort or sabotage their best efforts.

Imagine a thought being like an arrow. You put the arrow on the bow, you draw back the string and then you release the arrow. This is what happens in the mental body. You grasp an idea, you make it more specific and then you let it fly into the emotional body. Now imagine that when the arrow is in flight, a strong wind blows. The arrow might have been aimed perfectly at the target, but oh how easy it is for the wind to blow it off course so that it misses the mark. This is what happens to so many spiritual people who grasp a higher vision in their mental bodies and who make an effort to change their lives with the best of intentions. Because they have not taken dominion over their emotional bodies, their mortal selves and the prince of this world can so easily give the arrows of their thoughts a slight misdirection so that they always miss the mark. Or perhaps there is a strong headwind – in the form of emotional turmoil – that causes the arrow to fall short of the mark. People’s emotional bodies are pulled in different directions by conflicting desires. Their best efforts lose steam before they ever reach the matter plane. Taking dominion over your emotional body is truly a crucial element of your efforts to manifest the abundant life.

When I say “take dominion,” I mean that the Conscious You must decide to take dominion over the emotional body, as a good parent must take dominion over a child while it is not yet able to make right decisions for itself. Your emotional body can be compared to a child. As is the case with a child, your emotions are easily excitable, and they do not consider long-term consequences. The child does what it wants to do and what seems attractive at the moment. Your emotions are not able to consider what is best for you in the long-term or what is right according to a higher standard, such as the laws of God and your divine plan. The motto of your emotional body is: “If it feels good, do it.” Unless the Conscious You steps into the role of the loving but firm adult who can guide the child of your emotions, the child is likely to hurt itself and create unpleasant long-term consequences.

How do you take dominion over your emotions? I have already given you the master key, which is to reach up for the higher will that brought you into the material universe in the first place. When you have that will, you allow it to filter through to your thoughts. When all your thoughts are in alignment with that will, you need to let the will power carry into the emotional body and make sure that all of your feelings are in alignment with the higher will and the higher vision embedded in your divine plan. You need to see yourself as a person with a higher purpose rather than a happy-go-lucky person who is driven hither and yon by the waves of his or her emotional body. You need to have the firm resolve that simply will not allow feelings that are out of alignment with your divine plan and work against your goal for coming to earth. You need to come to the resolve that you are the one who decides what feelings should arise in your emotional body. You cannot allow any other force, be it your mortal self, other people, the institutions of society, the media or the prince of this world to control which emotions arise in the ocean of your feelings.

Because the emotions are volatile, your mortal self and the prince of this world have long ago realized that using the emotions is one of the best ways to control your actions. If you can control people’s feelings, you can control their actions because their actions spring from feelings. If you can create enough chaos in people’s emotional bodies, you can prevent their higher thoughts from ever reaching the matter realm and their conscious minds. Emotional control starts in your identity body with the belief that you are a mortal human being who is ultimately out of control of your own destiny and is incapable of doing anything beyond certain boundaries. If you believe this, you see yourself as a victim of life. You think you have been thrust into a situation in which you are constantly being forced to respond to circumstances that you did not design and thus could not influence. You constantly feel that you are being attacked and pushed in unwanted directions by the “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,” as Shakespeare put it.

This puts you into a reactionary frame of mind. You are in the mode of reacting to life instead of taking dominion over life. This, of course, is precisely where your mortal self and the prince of this world want you. They can now control you by throwing at you ideas and circumstances to which you feel you must react.

Beyond the control in the identity body is, of course, certain thought patterns that are programmed into your mind by your mortal self. Or rather, they are part of your mortal self and have therefore entered your sphere of self where they can influence your thought process. The problem is that your mental body might contain a certain image of what life should be like. Based on this image, you have built a set of expectations of what your life should be like; what should and should not happen to you. What has happened in your emotional body is that your mortal self has built upon the mental images and the expectations in your mental body. It has created a very subtle belief that if your expectations are not met, then it is not only necessary and unavoidable, but it is indeed perfectly justified that you respond with certain negative emotions. Your mortal self has set up a subconscious computer, and when a certain button on the screen of your conscious mind is pressed, it will automatically release a particular emotion, a particular reaction.

For example, many people have an expectation that life should be easy and effortless. Many people expect that life should give them certain material things and certain bodily pleasures. If they do not get them, they feel deprived. This gives rise to a variety of emotions which usually include anger against God, against their parents, against society or against specific other people whom they feel are preventing them from having what they think they are entitled to have. This anger can easily be used by the mortal self to justify certain actions that people know are wrong and not in their long-term interest. Once they are caught in a vortex of anger, they can easily justify overruling their deeper moral beliefs or their concern for future consequences. Many people will in a fit of anger commit acts they normally would have avoided and that they deeply regret later. Even though people might regret such actions, they can often be manipulated into the same type of actions through another fit of intense anger, triggered by a situation that does not meet their expectations.

Many people are in a state of greed or envy of others, feeling they should have what others have or have more than others. They might go through life being jealous of other people, and this might push them to take certain actions that they know are wrong. This is indeed what causes some people to steal what they feel they should have but are not willing to work to obtain. Another common emotion is pride that causes people to go through life in a constant attempt to prove that they are better than others, that they are always right, that they know better than anybody else. Such people are literally trapped in emotional patterns over which they have no control, and these patterns deprive them of all sense of happiness, fulfillment and peace of mind. They deprive them of the abundant life.

My beloved heart, it is now time to go from the overall vision of your greater purpose to the more specific plan anchored in your mental body. I have briefly mentioned the concept of a divine plan, but it is now time to talk about this plan in more detail. This plan truly is the blueprint for your current lifetime but also a part of the blueprint for your entire sojourn in the material universe. 

You are already well aware that you are more than the physical body, and I hope you are beginning to attain the awareness that you are more than the part of you that is designed to descend into the material universe. I hope you are beginning to glimpse that you are more than the contents of the four lower bodies you carry with you from lifetime to lifetime. What I would like to give you now is a sense for what exactly happens when your lifestream descends into a particular physical body. As the Conscious You begins this descent, it first integrates with your long-term mind. This is the mind that you carry with you from lifetime to lifetime, and as the Conscious You begins to integrate with it we might say that the Conscious You puts on a pair of glasses through which it sees everything. When the Conscious You finally descends into the physical body, it puts on another pair of glasses, which represents your short-term mind, the mind that is centered around your current physical body.

When you are in a physical body, you – meaning your conscious mind – are looking at the world through two pair of glasses. The one pair of glasses is your long-term mind, your identity, mental and emotional body and even the part of the long-term mind that relates specifically to being in a physical body. The other pair of glasses represents your short-term mind, which also has four levels. The contents of this short-term mind are the ones that were put in that mind in this particular embodiment. What happens in this process is that the Conscious You can easily forget its true identity as an immortal spiritual being. It now begins to look at everything through the glasses of your long-term and short-term minds; it begins to identity itself with – identify itself as – the contents of your long-term and short-term minds. The Conscious You builds certain expectations and certain desires for how life should be and what it wants life to be like.

For example, most people have been programmed to accept certain expectations, desires and aspirations for their current lifetime, for what their lives should be like, what they should accomplish, what they want to do, what they want to have and what they want to experience. This programming is put upon all people by their families and societies, and it forms a set of expectations. These expectations might very well be in opposition to the expectations that are stored in your long-term mind, or they might be out of touch with what is either your true potential or your realistic karmic circumstances. This, of course, creates a division in your own being. An important consideration is how you can resolve such divisions in your being and avoid sabotaging your efforts to change your life and manifest more abundance. In order to explain this, I need you to step back and look beyond both your short-term and your long-term minds. Beyond those levels of the mind is an even higher level and this is where you find your divine plan. The Conscious You is more than the short-term and the long-term minds. It is simply looking through the filter of those minds while you are in a physical body and while you identify yourself with that body. After your physical body dies, the Conscious You separates itself from the body. If you are a spiritually aware person, the Conscious You can separate itself from the long-term mind and temporarily rise to the spiritual realm. Many of the more spiritual people on earth will, between their embodiments, attend educational and healing centers that are located in the lower spiritual realm. The Conscious You is not simply lying dormant somewhere between your physical embodiments. The Conscious You is always engaged in the process of learning, the process of self-transcendence. There are many people on earth who are so identified with the physical body that their conscious selves are not able to rise to the lower spiritual realms between embodiments. These people get stuck in lower realms, and some of them do indeed go into a kind of sleep that is almost like a spiritual coma. The more spiritual people have the ability to free themselves from identification with the material realm and thereby rise to the spiritual schoolrooms. In these learning centers your conscious self will meet with your Christ self and a set of spiritual teachers who serve as your personal guides. Before you come down into your next embodiment, you will have several councils with your spiritual teachers in which you will define a very specific divine plan for what you want to accomplish in your next lifetime.

Before you came down into your current embodiment, you met with your spiritual teachers and created a very detailed plan for what you want to learn, what you want to experience and what portions of your past karma you need to overcome in this lifetime. It is possible, in fact it is likely, that your outer expectations, the expectations you have built based on the programming from your family and society, are to a smaller or larger degree out of alignment with your divine plan. It is even possible that you have some expectations in your long-term mind that are out of alignment with your divine plan. Obviously, such expectations will make you a house divided against itself. The greatest advantage of clearing your mental body is that it will allow you to see beyond any expectations you have built in this current lifetime and any imperfect, dualistic expectations that have lingered in your long-term mind. When you clear out this debris, you will be able to get a much clearer vision of your divine plan, both the long-term plan and the specific plan for this lifetime.

The greatest joy you can experience is to know that you are fulfilling your divine plan, that every aspect of your life is in alignment with that plan. This truly is the abundant life. As the Conscious You descends into the dense energies of the physical body, it is almost inevitable that you forget your divine plan. Even the most spiritually aware people forget most of their divine plans, although many people have a strong intuitive sense, even as young children, of what they want to do in life. Due to the very dense energies that currently dominate the planetary energy field, it is normal to forget your divine plan. As a spiritual seeker you should expect that you need to make an effort to reconnect to your divine plan. This is, so to speak, simply the cost of doing business on a planet with such dense energies. Don’t blame yourself, God or anyone else for the fact that you have forgotten your divine plan. Simply decide that you will put forth a determined effort to rediscover who you are and why you are here.

Why is it important to reconnect to your divine plan? Besides the goal of attaining greater peace of mind and a deep sense of meaning, it will also give you very specific directions for your current lifetime. This might be directions such as the right occupation, the right person to marry, the right place to live or what you need to study – such as a spiritual teaching – in order to learn the lessons you are meant to learn. Because you are a spiritually aware person, you probably already have some intuitive sense of the basic elements of your divine plan. Many spiritual people can look back at their lives and see that they have done certain things for which they had no outer, rational explanation. They simply knew that it was something they had to do. You might even look back at your life and see that you have had certain unpleasant experiences or have done certain things that might seem like mistakes. When you reconnect to your divine plan, you are likely to discover that this was something you had to do. The reason might be that you needed to learn a lesson, that you were trying to help other people learn a lesson or that you had some karma from past lives that brought about the experience. Regardless of the actual cause, this was a necessary part of your divine plan, and when you see this, you can be at peace about the experience. Instead of looking back at your life with sorrow and regret, you can look for the hidden lesson and use even your unpleasant experiences as a springboard for spiritual growth.

Your divine plan has two aspects. In the previous chapter I talked about the overall purpose for your coming into the material universe, namely that you wanted to bring the light of God and to bring about God’s kingdom. At the more specific level, you have an overall, timeless divine plan for what you want to accomplish in the material universe. That plan relates to who you are, namely the spiritual Being out of which you are an individualization.

When Moses climbed the mountain to receive the ten commandments from God, he saw God as a living fire. That is why the Bible says that our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). In the spiritual realm are a number of God Flames, and each God Flame represents a particular quality of God. For example, there is a flame of God’s Will, there is a flame of God’s Wisdom, there is a flame of God’s love, there is a flame of Peace and so forth and so on. For each positive quality known to human beings, there is a certain God Flame that focuses that quality. Your lifestream was born out of such a God Flame, and your overall purpose for coming into the material universe is to bring the light and the qualities of your God Flame in order to displace the darkness on earth. The Creator will not send that God Flame from outside the material universe. It must come from within by a person on earth embodying that God Flame.

Your God Flame has two aspects, namely the expanding element of the Father and the contracting element of the Mother, the Alpha aspect and the Omega aspect. This is described in the Bible in the statement: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8). The Alpha aspect of your God Flame, the masculine aspect, is the flame out of which you sprang, and the feminine aspect is the gift you are here to bring to the world. You might be out of the God Flame of love, but you chose to come to earth to bring truth. In order to bring truth to earth, you have to bring truth in a loving manner. Likewise, you might be out of the God Flame of peace, but you are here to bring direction. You must bring a direction that helps people attain peace and that expresses the quality of peace.

As you clear your mental body and your identity body, you will begin to get an intuitive feeling for your particular God Flame, and it is a topic that you might meditate upon as you give the invocations in this course. Many spiritual people will already have some sense of their God Flame, even though you may never have heard about the concept. You might see that there are certain qualities that have always seemed important to you or been dear to your heart. You might even see that there are certain negative characteristics you have often encountered, and the reason is that they are in opposition to your God Flame. You are here to let your God Flame consume them, which means that you attract them to you so that they can be consumed by the fire of your greater Being. It is therefore important that you do not become emotionally involved with such situations or feelings but simply allow them to pass into the fire of your inner Being. This requires you to be non-attached so that you do not magnify these negative qualities with your emotional body.

I know this concept will seem abstract to many people, but I am bringing it up because as you begin to clear your higher bodies, you will get a better intuitive awareness of your God Flame. It is important for you to have the concept in the back of your mind so that as you grow in self-awareness you can begin to consciously tune in to your God Flame and your reason for being.

Beyond the more abstract, overall level that relates to expressing your God Flame, is the more concrete level of your divine plan. Again, there is a part of your divine plan that relates to what you came to bring to earth, and this plan will carry over from lifetime to lifetime. For example, you might feel an affinity for certain activities or a certain type of occupation. You might have a particular concern for certain problems on earth and a desire to see them alleviated. There may also be certain elements of this plan that relate to what you need to learn in order to become who you truly are, and these are also long-term goals. These long-term goals are crystallized into particular goals for your current lifetime, and these goals are the easiest for you to uncover. Here we do, once again, run into a problem I have discussed earlier, namely that your outer mind, your conscious mind and your mortal self, might have built certain expectations that are in opposition to your divine plan. If you are very attached to these outer expectations, your conscious mind might actually refuse to see your divine plan. The reason being that following your divine plan would require some major adjustments in your outer lifestyle, and a part of you does not want to make those adjustments.

Your mortal self will do everything it can think of to prevent you from acknowledging your divine plan. It will try to make you so attached to the expectations you have built in this lifetime, expectations that your mortal self has programmed into your mind, that you simply will not look beyond them. Your mortal self will want you to become so attached to temporary desires and pleasures that you will ignore the true desires of your lifestream, as expressed in your divine plan. In order to fully see your divine plan, you will often have to give up, to surrender, certain dualistic, temporary expectations and all emotional attachments to seeing these desires and expectations fulfilled. This is what Jesus described in the statement that you cannot serve two masters, that you cannot serve God – meaning your long-term spiritual goals – and mammon – meaning your short-term, mortal desires and expectations (Matthew 6:24). When you allow yourself to be pulled in two opposing directions, you might refuse to acknowledge your divine plan. You will see it as something that is external to your mortal will – which it is – and even something that is being imposed upon you by some higher authority that is out to control you—which it is not. As I explained in the last chapter, this is an illusion projected upon the Conscious You by the mortal self, and only an act of will by the Conscious You can overcome it. You cannot fulfill your divine plan as long as the Conscious You sees it as being outside of its own will. You need to make peace with your divine plan, and you can do that only by reaching beyond the mortal desires and expectations for what your life should be like. You need to be willing to “lose your life,” to lose your attachments to your dualistic expectations.

You should not expect to have your entire divine plan revealed to you at once. The path is a gradual process, and in the beginning you will only see parts of your divine plan. As you are faithful over your intuitive revelations, you will prove yourself worthy to grasp more and more details until you will eventually have a very clear recognition of your plan. Some details may not ever be known to your conscious mind because how can you learn a particular lesson if you know the purpose for the test you encounter? There will always be some things your outer mind will not know, and you grow by making decisions without having full awareness. You also need to keep in mind that many details of your divine plan are not set in stone. They need to be decided by you as events unfold and could not be planned in advance.

My beloved heart, in this chapter I will give you some teachings that are specifically designed to help you clear the imperfect beliefs in your identity body. In a sense, everything I have said up to this point relates to clearing your identity body, but there are certain things that I have not explained in great detail, and we will go into them here. The most important aspect of clearing your identity body is that by doing so you will uncover your true identity, you will discover who you really are as the God-free being that your Creator originally designed as an extension of itself. The contents of your identity body relate specifically to what you came to do in the material universe. What you came here to do is an expression of who you really are, meaning the spiritual Being that sent down an individualization of itself. 

One of the most common misunderstandings found on earth is the concept that God’s will is outside of, is separate from and is even in opposition to your own individual will. This is a very dangerous and a very insidious illusion that has affected many spiritual seekers. Obviously, the will of God is always in opposition to the will of your mortal self and the will of the prince of this world. Your mortal self and the prince of this world are completely trapped in the duality consciousness, the consciousness that springs from a sense of separation from God. By their very nature, they see themselves as outside of and in opposition to the will of God. The will of your ego, the will of your mortal self, will always feel that it is being restricted by the will of God. Your mortal self will try to get you to believe in the illusion that in order to follow the will of God, you have to give up your own will. You have to surrender your own will to the will of God and submit yourself to this higher authority who wants to control you. This has even led to the belief that it was only in rebelling against the God in the Garden of Eden that human beings gained their own will. This is the ultimate attempt to justify the existence of the mortal self by using the dualistic logic of the mind of anti-christ. It actually implies that before Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they were mere robots. If they had truly been robots, how could they have disobeyed their “programming?”

You were created with free will from the very beginning, and in rebelling against God’s will you did not gain the freedom to make your own choices. You lost that freedom by giving it to the mortal self and the prince of this world. Your greatest possession is your individuality, and you have a built-in longing to express that individuality. If the mortal self and the prince of this world can make you believe that expressing your individuality is incompatible with following the will of God, you will be a house divided against itself. You have a built-in longing for wholeness, which can only be attained by following the will of God, and you have a built-in longing to express your individuality. If you believe the two are incompatible, you will never be whole or fulfilled. The only way out is to realize that the seeming conflict between your individual will and the will of God is nothing but a dualistic illusion. This illusion has been heavily reinforced by many orthodox religions, namely the religions that present God as an angry being in the sky who is watching your every move and is ready to punish you for every mistake. It is a great burden to my heart that so many sincere spiritual people are trapped in this subtle belief that God’s will is somehow in opposition to their own. This makes many spiritual people feel a subtle resentment against God for the very fact that they are alive. They somehow feel that God forced life upon them, and therefore God is responsible for their current misery and limitations. They feel they have no control over their own destiny. After all, God created them, God gave them free will, God sent them into this world and now God has abandoned them because they made a mistake in the past. All these beliefs spring from the mortal self, and not even your mortal self believes them. The mortal self is using them as tools to drive a wedge between you and your higher Being, between the Conscious You and your real identity as the greater spiritual Being that you are.

I truly understand why many people believe this lie. When you have imperfect, dualistic beliefs in your identity body, you simply cannot see beyond the level of your identity body. You cannot see beyond the material realm and discover the greater spiritual Being of which you are an individualization. How can you accept that God’s will is actually your will? One of the greatest benefits of clearing your identity body is that you will come to the recognition and the full acceptance that God’s will is indeed your will and your will is God’s will. To help you resolve this seeming enigma, let me take you on a little journey beyond time and space.

There was once an immortal spiritual Being, residing in the spiritual realm, which is above and beyond the material universe. After the Creator had created the sphere that is the material universe, this Being saw that for the process of creation to continue, someone had to descend into that material universe and bring the light of God. Someone had to take up the role of a co-creator so that the material universe could gradually become filled with light and thereby become another jewel in the crown of God’s Being. This spiritual Being decided that it did indeed want to be part of the creative process, that it did indeed want to serve the Creator by sending a part of itself down into the material universe to radiate the light of God and raise the material universe to a higher vibration. This spiritual Being saw itself clearly as an extension of, as an individualization of, the Creator who started the entire process of creating this world of form. This greater spiritual Being decided to send a part of itself down into the material realm. An immortal spiritual Being cannot send the totality of itself into the material realm. It sent a part of itself, an individualization of itself, which then became an individual lifestream. This individual lifestream is not separated from or in opposition to its spiritual “parent.” Even though it has individuality and free will, its original will is not separate from or in opposition to the greater will of its spiritual source and the even greater will of the Creator itself.

You were not created in a vacuum. You were not created by some external, remote God who then forcefully sent you into this material universe without any choice on your part. You are an extension of a greater spiritual Being, and you are an expression of the fact that this greater Being has a desire to extend itself into the material universe and bring the light and the kingdom of God to replace the darkness that covers the land. After you were created as an individual lifestream, you had a choice concerning whether you would actually descend to the material universe or whether you would seek growth in the spiritual realm. Because you clearly saw the purpose for which you were created, you lovingly chose to descend as an emissary of the greater Being that you are. You were not forced to come here. You came here as the result of a choice, and that choice was not made by some alien, remote being. It was made by you, the Conscious You, seeing itself as an extension of the greater Being that you are.

I am aware that this might sound abstract with your present level of self-awareness. I can assure you that as you grow in self-awareness, as you clear the dualistic images from your identity body, you will come to see and accept the truth of what I am telling you here. You are here because you chose to come here, and you made that choice out of love. You are here because you want to be here. I am aware that there are many aspects of your present situation that are not in alignment with your original desire and your original purpose for coming here. Those imperfections are the results of choices that the Conscious You made because it was influenced by the duality consciousness. Once you separate the Conscious You from those dualistic beliefs, you will indeed come back to a clear recognition of why you came here in the first place.

Oh my beloved, I can assure you that once you reconnect to your original purpose for coming here, your life will take on an entirely new dimension. You will attain such a deep and joyful sense of purpose that you will indeed connect to the original meaning, the original purpose, behind God’s creation. You will know who you are and why you truly came to this earth. You will know that you are an extension of a greater spiritual Being that embodies a particular quality of God. You will know that you are here to bring a particular God quality to this earth and thereby serve as one facet of the diamond mind of God that brings God’s kingdom into manifestation on this planet. You will then reconnect to the whole of the Body of God and see that you are part of a great wave of Beings who came to this earth for a higher purpose. This will give you a sense of purpose, a sense of meaning, a sense of divine direction, that will truly be the ultimate fulfillment for which all spiritual people have a deep, inner longing.

Oh my beloved, what a pain it is to my heart that so many people on earth are wondering if life has a purpose or a deeper meaning. The answer is so obvious and so clear—once you have risen above the duality consciousness. I know that while you are still trapped behind the veil of illusions created by that state of consciousness, the answer seems illusive and impossible to grasp. I have no stronger desire than to see you, and all spiritual people, rise above that veil of illusion – that energy veil, that evil – in order to be free to know who you truly are and why you came to this universe. That is when you can begin to express your unique individuality and to bring your unique gift to this planet. This truly is the very foundation for experiencing the abundant life.

You do not seriously believe that the abundant life is all about money, do you? I can assure you that the true abundant life comes from knowing who you are and why you are here on this planet, from feeling that the light of God is streaming through your four lower bodies. It comes from knowing that every aspect of your lower being is in alignment with your original purpose for coming here. Every aspect of your life is an expression of that purpose and serves to fulfill that purpose. This is the ultimate state of abundance, the ultimate sense of being in the flow of the River of Life, the river of God’s eternal self-transcendence that raises you to higher and higher levels and in so doing raises the vibration of the entire planet.

My beloved heart, let me bring together some of the things we have discussed in the last several chapters to present you with an overall view of what you need to accomplish in order to purify your four lower bodies, overcome the consequences of your past actions and manifest the abundant life. Let us begin by talking about the resistance to your efforts to purify your four lower bodies. 

Many people have experienced highly traumatic situations in this lifetime, and such situations can be associated with great emotional pain. When I say that in order to be free of the blocks in your emotional body you need to take a look at the beliefs behind those blocks, I know many people will immediately resist doing so. They know that thinking back to the situations from their past will plunge them into a state of emotional pain and discomfort. I am in no way blaming people for such reactions, for it is quite understandable that they want to avoid the emotional pain. What if I could show you a method whereby you could reduce the intensity of the emotional pain before you actually start looking at the painful situations from the past? If the intensity of the pain is reduced, it would only be a temporary and bearable discomfort to take a look at the past. In that case, it would be well worth the effort to go through a temporary discomfort in order to permanently free yourself from an imperfect belief that is affecting you 24 hours a day. This would be a very good investment, just as it would be a good investment to buy stocks if you could double your money.

The other major form of opposition that people run into as they begin to purify their four lower bodies is what we might call the force of habit. As a visual image, imagine water that is running down a hillside. The water tends to carve little grooves in the hillside, and once a groove has started to form, it will funnel more water. The groove will become deeper until it eventually becomes a gully containing a river. This is how habits form in your four lower bodies. As the light flows through your four lower bodies, it follows the path of least resistance.

If you have an imperfect belief in your mental body, the belief, and the misqualified energy resulting from the belief, will form a barrier that will make it harder for the light to flow. The light will tend to flow around it, and thereby your thoughts are steered into a certain pattern, causing your feelings to follow suit. This has the effect of limiting the options you can see, and thus it limits your creative expression. This causes you to set up a mental and emotional habit that, so to speak, programs you to respond to certain situations in a specific way. At the level of the conscious mind, you do not have control over your reactions to specific situations. Your reactions are predetermined by the habits that exist in your emotional, mental and identity bodies as well as in your physical mind.

If you look at people you know, and perhaps look at your own life, you will see that this is a very common problem. Many people literally do not have the option to choose their reaction to a specific situation. Due to habits that were set up in the past, they will inevitably respond with anger to certain situations. They simply cannot stop themselves from doing so, and the effect is often that a relationship between two people is locked into a destructive or dysfunctional pattern. One person says something that the other person doesn’t like. The second person responds with anger, and then the first person also responds with anger. The two people are now angry with each other, and none of them have the power to break free from the anger and choose a more loving reaction to the situation.

The extreme form of a habit is an addiction to a physical substance, such as drugs or alcohol. There are many more subtle habits and, in fact, any pattern of behavior starts in the higher bodies as a mental and emotional habit. The main problem with breaking a habit is that there is quite a resistance to doing so. Tracks have been carved in the levels of your mind, and the energy will tend to flow in those tracks. It takes great effort to change the patterns at the higher levels of the mind. Many people have tried to change a particular habit but have been unsuccessful. They find that they can change the habit for a while, but doing so is an uphill battle. As soon as they relax just a little bit, they snap back into the old patterns.

Others manage to change the outer behavior, but they have to fight an ongoing battle, possibly for the rest of their lives, to keep themselves from snapping back into the old pattern of behavior. This is not the abundant life, for how can you enjoy life when you are constantly fighting this battle with yourself? I understand that many people are reluctant to tackle habits because they know from experience that it is very difficult to remove an old habit. What if I could show you a way to diminish the resistance to breaking a habit, to diminish the magnetic force that pulls you into certain patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior?

What causes you to feel emotional pain when you think about a traumatic situation from your past is the accumulated energy in your higher bodies, especially the emotional body. What makes it so difficult to break a habit is likewise the accumulated energy in your emotional body, in your mental body and even in your identity body. This energy literally forms an energy field that has much the same effect as a magnetic field. The field around a magnet will pull on a metal object that comes within the range of the field. If you have such “magnetic” fields in your four lower bodies, they will pull on your thoughts and emotions. They will literally pull your thoughts and emotions into a certain pattern, and that is why your reactions to certain situations are predetermined—preprogrammed.

When you use a powerful technique for purifying the misqualified energy and thereby raise its vibration, the intensity of the emotional pain associated with past situations is reduced. You can now think about these situations without being overwhelmed by pain. You can look at them objectively, almost as if you were dealing with another person. It is always easy for you to solve other people’s problems, and the reason is that you are not emotionally involved. You can look at the situation more objectively and see the solution that for the other person is hidden behind a veil of emotional energy.

When you reduce the magnetic pull that causes you to follow certain patterns of behavior, you can break a habit much easier and often without the normal “withdrawal symptoms.” By removing the energy, you will make it far easier for yourself to reexamine painful situations from your past. You can uncover the decisions you made while you were in those situations. You can consciously replace those decisions by making better decisions based on the clearer vision you now have. When you remove the magnetic pull of an old habit, it becomes much easier for you to uncover the decisions behind that habit. You can change those decisions and carve a new and more productive trail in your subconscious mind. You can build a positive habit rather than a limiting one. What I am showing you here is that there are three main components to freeing yourself from your past:

One is the internal component of overcoming the imperfect decisions and beliefs that are stored in your identity, mental, emotional and physical minds. This involves both decisions in your long-term mind, the mind that you carry with you from lifetime to lifetime, and in your short-term mind, the mind that is attached to your current physical body.

The second component is that you must transform the misqualified energy stored in your four lower bodies. This will make it easier for you to break limiting habits and it will make it easier for you to heal the scars from past trauma.

The third component is that you must consume the energy impulse, the karma, that is reflected back to you by the cosmic mirror according to your past actions.

When you find and apply a powerful technique for accomplishing these three goals (such as my invocations), your life will immediately take a turn for the better and you can quickly establish an upward spiral. By putting forth a determined effort for a while, you can make this spiral self-sustaining and self-reinforcing.

Consider how easy it is for people to create a downward spiral for themselves. They have accepted a number of negative beliefs that cause them to misqualify energy. These beliefs and the misqualified energy pull their thoughts and feelings into certain patterns that lead to actions that are not in their own best interest. These actions have consequences, and as people experience the negative consequences, the patterns in their higher bodies cause them to respond with negative thoughts and emotions. This misqualifies even more energy and reinforces their negative beliefs, which obviously solidifies the mental and emotional patterns. This, of course, misqualifies even more energy, and a downward spiral can form very quickly. This spiral becomes self-reinforcing, self-perpetuating, and it can literally take people down to a point where they feel they are mentally and emotionally paralyzed. They have nowhere to go, they cannot move, they feel boxed in from every side and feel like they have no options left in life. This is not because they actually have no options but because the imperfect beliefs and the misqualified energy in their four lower bodies prevent them from seeing the options or prevent them from acting upon their vision. They think they cannot change themselves, and therefore they cannot see how to change their outer situations. This is, of course, what psychologists call depression, and it can easily develop into a more severe mental illness.

Most people on this planet have grown up in circumstances that caused them to create such a downward spiral, and you should not expect that breaking such a spiral will happen overnight or without putting forth a determined effort. If you are determined, and if you are willing to do the work, you can break this spiral and create an upward, self-perpetuating spiral instead. Once you have turned things around, your life will literally take on an entirely new dimension. You will then begin to experience the abundant life, not only in the form of material abundance but also in the form of spiritual abundance. With spiritual abundance I mean greater happiness, greater peace of mind, an expanded vision of life’s opportunities and a sense of purpose and fulfillment, which all adds up to what I talked about earlier, namely wholeness. It is well worth the effort to break the downward spiral and create an upward one. I have now given you the understanding you need for how you can accomplish this task, and I hope I have also given you the motivation you need to make the decision that you will indeed do the work. If you have given the invocations along with this course, you have already transmuted a great deal of energy and you have challenged many subconscious beliefs. If you have read to this point without giving the invocations, it is not too late to go back and start giving them.

My beloved heart, I would like to build upon the teachings I have given you in the previous chapter. I first of all want to tell you more about the physical part of your mind, which I have so far mentioned but not truly described. Medical scientists have conducted various experiments on the brain in their attempts to understand the brain and discover its higher functions. For example, they have found that by inducing certain chemicals, they can stimulate experiences that are very similar to what people report during spiritual or near-death experiences. This has led some scientists to conclude that all spiritual experiences, and all religion, spring from certain chemical or electromagnetic processes in the brain. They conclude that there is nothing beyond the brain but that all religion is produced within the brain. Some surgeons have performed open brain surgery and have found that they can stimulate areas of the brain and trigger certain experiences. Again, this has led the materialistic scientists to conclude that all spiritual experiences are produced by the brain—that God is the product of a misfiring of neurons in the brain.

It is understandable that a person who has decided that there is nothing beyond the material realm will come to this conclusion. This lack of vision is a product of the fact that the person has chosen to confine his or her mind to the matter realm. The conscious mind of that person simply cannot see beyond the matter realm and will not accept the possibility that there could be a deeper explanation. The reason most people use only 5-10 percent of their brain capacity is that the higher brain centers require a higher form of energy in order to be activated. Those brain centers can be artificially activated by certain chemicals or by an outer stimulation. This does not mean that the stimulation of the brain centers produces a spiritual experience. It only means that the brain centers are designed to facilitate an experience so that the conscious mind can grasp such an experience while you are still in a physical body. The purpose is to allow you to experience that there is more to life than the material universe—while you are abiding in, one might say trapped in, the matter realm.

A genuine spiritual experience takes place when the Conscious You separates itself from the physical mind and the physical body and therefore reaches beyond the matter realm. The Conscious You reaches into the identity realm or even beyond it into the spiritual realm. This is completely natural, and the Conscious You has the capacity to identify itself with anything, anywhere. The Conscious You has the potential to separate itself from the body, even on a temporary basis, and reach up to the higher parts of your identity, your true identity as a spiritual being. When you reconnect to that identity, high-frequency light streams through your four lower bodies and you can have a variety of spiritual experiences.

It is quite possible for the Conscious You to have spiritual experiences that cannot filter through to your conscious mind. This can be caused by blocks in the higher levels of your mind, but there is also a certain class of spiritual experiences that cannot be consciously known while you are in a physical body. The simple reason is that the human brain does not have centers that are capable of facilitating such experiences. When you do have a spiritual experience that filters through to your conscious awareness, it is because the physical brain is capable of facilitating such an experience. The Conscious You has reached into a higher realm and has released a stream of light that filters down to the physical brain and activates one of the higher brain centers. It is this activation of the brain center that gives you a conscious experience. It is quite possible that the Conscious You can have spiritual experiences that cannot be translated by the brain and thus cannot be known to the conscious mind. Many spiritual people disentangle themselves from the body while they sleep and travel to the spiritual realm where they receive instructions from their spiritual teachers. That is why you sometimes wake up with a new sense of clarity and with the answer to a question you have been pondering. This is also why you can have certain dreams just before you wake up that are very lucid and seem to carry a profound message. Sometimes this might be a greater understanding of a problem or it might be a premonition concerning a future event. It might also be a sense of flying, a sense of being free or the sense of being part of something greater than your physical body. It might be a sense of being outside your physical body, looking down upon it.

All of these experiences are real experiences, yet it is true, as scientists have discovered, that it is possible to generate such experiences by stimulating the physical brain in various ways. This does not mean that the brain produces the experience. Reasoning this way is the same as reasoning that the film screen produces the images that appear on the screen. It is true that the brain can influence the exact form and content of a spiritual experience, which is one reason two people can have different experiences.

Having explained this characteristic of the physical brain, I would like to move on and talk more about what I have called the physical part of your mind. You are an immortal spiritual being, and you have taken on this particular physical body only for a time. In the past, you have been embodied in other bodies in different circumstances. This fact is the only way to explain one of the major blocks to your efforts to manifest God’s abundance in your life. The blocks that appear in your four lower bodies can be divided into two categories. There are long-term blocks and short-term blocks. There are certain blocks in the four levels of your mind that were produced in this particular lifetime, and there are other blocks that were produced in past lives.

If you truly want to clear your four lower bodies, you need to go beyond what you have experienced in this lifetime. In order to go beyond, you need to understand that there are levels of the mind. There is more than one valid way to explain what I will give you next. For the sake of simplicity, I will give you a model which describes your mind as having two major components. There is the larger, higher or long-term component of your four lower bodies. This is the component that you carry with you from lifetime to lifetime. You also have a component that is attached to this particular physical body in this lifetime, yet this component also has an identity level, a mental realm, an emotional realm and a mind that is enmeshed with, and to some degree produced by, the physical brain. You have a larger energy field that is beyond your present body, and within it is a smaller field that is centered around the physical body and interwoven with the body and the brain.

As you grew up in this lifetime, you built a certain sense of identity based on your particular circumstances, such as your family background, nationality, race, ethnic group, sex and other aspects of your physical situation. This put contents into the container of the short-term identity body. This sense of identity was to a large degree affected by your heredity and your environment, yet it was not exclusively produced by these external factors, as psychologists claim. What influences your short-term sense of identity is your reactions to external circumstances in this lifetime, and those reactions are largely determined by the contents of your long-term mind, the mind that was created during previous lifetimes.

The long-term identity body is not affected by the specific characteristics related to this lifetime. It stores the larger sense of identity based on beliefs about yourself. For example, it might store the belief that you are a human being or a miserable sinner, a belief that might have been reinforced in this lifetime but was likely created many lifetimes ago. The long-term identity body stores more general beliefs whereas the short-term identity body stores the identity relating to your current embodiment. The deeper part of your being, which is what most psychologists and spiritual teachers call the soul, is beyond this particular lifetime. It does not see itself as a person with your name, sex, nationality, race and so on. It does not identify itself as being a nurse, a teacher or whatever your occupation might be.

The identity body that is specific to your present lifetime will be wiped clean after the death of this body, and that is why most people do not remember their past lives. The records of those lives are stored elsewhere and you can uncover them, but they are not stored in your short-term identity body. This is actually a grace, in the sense that you receive an opportunity to start over without remembering the mistakes you might have made in your previous lifetimes. The downside is that many people are born without a strong sense of continuity. This gives rise to the fear of death that comes from believing that your identity will be lost when your body dies. Your most precious possession is your individuality, your sense of identity, so your greatest fear is to lose it. That is why it is actually very cruel that children are brought up without an understanding of reincarnation. Knowing that your long-term identity will not die with the physical body can completely relieve you of the fear of death, a fear that is paralyzing to many people and gives them a sense that life is pointless. Why strive to improve yourself and become a better person when all is lost at the end of this life? The improvements you make are not lost but become your “treasures laid up in heaven” (Matthew 6:20), meaning that they are stored in your long-term identity body (even in your causal body in the spiritual realm) and will therefore serve as a foundation that you can build upon in your next lifetime (and after you permanently graduate from earth’s schoolroom).

It is possible that what you experience in this lifetime, and the decisions you make based on those experiences, can have an effect on your long-term sense of identity. Your long-term sense of identity has a profound effect on the sense of identity you build in this lifetime. The contents of your long-term mental and emotional bodies have a major effect on how you respond to the situations you encounter in this lifetime. For better or worse, you are building upon the foundation laid in past lives, yet you do have the potential to improve upon that foundation, which, of course, is your only hope of being free of the past.

As an example, let us say that your long-term identity body contains the belief that you are a miserable sinner and that everything you do is a sin. This will carry over into your present lifetime and give you a tendency to gravitate towards a religion that reinforces this belief. You will find it easy to accept such a religion and you will find it difficult to break free from it, which is why many people simply will not look beyond the religion in which they grew up. The contents of your long-term mind will form the parameters for how you respond to life in this particular lifetime. The Conscious You still has the potential to go beyond the programming from the past. In many cases, the conscious mind builds a sense of identity in the current lifetime that is somewhat in conflict with the person’s long-term identity. This is important because it opens the possibility that you can reinforce the internal contradictions that make you a house divided against itself.

For example, many people have a belief in their long-term identity bodies that they are not worthy to receive God’s abundance. Some people have used a specific teaching on abundance and a set of affirmations to create the short-term sense of identity as being worthy of having abundance. If they have not fully understood what I explained in the previous chapter, this new sense of identity may not go beyond the short-term identity body. It can clash with, and easily be overruled by, the more powerful long-term sense of identity. The person’s attempt to use a genuine technique to raise his or her spiritual awareness has not truly helped. It has only created a greater internal conflict, and this is one of the ways in which your mortal self and the prince of this world can put you in a spiritual catch-22. They do this by seeking to make you accept a belief in your short-term mind that conflicts a belief you already hold in your long-term mind. This temporary belief will prevent you from resolving the limiting belief you have in the long-term mind. If you have built a firm belief in this lifetime that you are worthy to receive God’s abundance, you might not think that you need to go deeper into your psychology and resolve the long-term belief that you are not worthy. This can prevent you from making long-term progress, which can only be attained by purifying your long-term mind. You are, so to speak, creating a temporary movie that is projected onto the screen of your consciousness, and although it might obscure some of the images projected by your long-term mind, it does nothing to actually clean the filmstrip in the long-term mind. It should be obvious that if you want true freedom, you need to go beyond the short-term mind and clear your long-term mind.

There are prosperity gurus, psychologists and holistic healers who have a valid technique for purifying your emotions, your thoughts and even your sense of identity. If a technique works only on the short-term mind, it cannot have the maximum effect on your growth. There are also some gurus who are not seeking to help you resolve the blocks in your short-term mind. Instead, they present you with techniques aimed at creating a new program in the short-term mind, a program that will supposedly bring you great abundance by simply overriding preexisting programs. Without the resolution of the limitations from the past, this will inevitably add to your internal conflicts by creating a new program that conflicts already existing programs in both your short-term and long-term minds. On a computer two programs can be in conflict with each other, and it can cause the computer to crash. The subconscious part of your mind is in some ways similar to a computer. If you put conflicting beliefs or patterns into it, you will experience a form of mental or emotional paralysis.

This also applies to many forms of therapy, especially the therapy developed by mainstream psychology, which is based on a largely materialistic paradigm. You might have been exposed to certain traumatic experiences in this lifetime that have given you emotional scars and have caused you to form certain imperfect beliefs in your short-term mental body and even build an imperfect self-image. It is quite possible that you can use a form of therapy to resolve these blocks in your short-term mind, and truly this can have a beneficial effect. If you do not go beyond the short-term mind, you are not actually making progress in this lifetime. You are simply turning back the clock to the starting point, and thus you are, so to speak, back to square one. In order to truly progress, you need to go beyond the short-term mind, and you can use your experiences in this lifetime as a springboard for this effort. The way you react to situations in this lifetime is determined by the patterns in your long-term mind. By examining your reactions, you can uncover the deeper patterns and work on resolving them. This requires a greater commitment and a clear vision that you are more than your short-term mind. In order to be completely free, you need to go all the way back to the beliefs that originated with your decision to turn away from God, to turn away from your spiritual teacher, and go it alone. This was when you allowed your mortal self and the prince of this world to be your teachers.

My beloved heart, in the previous chapter [See Volume 2] I explained to you the process whereby everything in the material universe has been brought into manifestation. I explained that everything starts as a general idea in the identity realm, is then lowered as a more specific idea in the mental realm, becomes even more specific and receives momentum and direction in the emotional realm and then manifests as an actual form or action in the material realm.

I promised to make this teaching more practical, and I will do so in this chapter by applying it to the question of how you can manifest the abundant life for yourself and for all life on this planet. Let us begin by talking about a topic that is an essential part of the manifestation of the abundant life, namely your creative power, your actual power to bring things into manifestation. If you have studied any of the prosperity teachings found on this planet, you will know that many of them stress the importance of having a goal, having a clear vision for what you want to accomplish. This is a very important part of manifesting the abundant life, for truly, as the Bible says: “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). If you have no idea what you want to manifest, how can you possibly bring it into manifestation, especially when you consider my teaching that everything is made from the Mother Light that has taken on a certain form because of an image that was imposed upon it by a self-aware mind. You might have heard about the concept of making a treasure map, which is simply a collage of pictures that illustrates what you want to see manifest in your life, such as greater material wealth, a nice house to live in or any other conditions. This is indeed one valid approach to manifesting abundance but it does have certain limitations. You can have the best possible vision without having the power to bring it into manifestation. The power aspect is what I will focus on in this chapter, and then we will later talk about how to purify your vision and have the highest vision for your creative potential.

The true key to manifesting the abundant life is to allow the pure light of God to flow through your four lower bodies. If the light can flow through unhindered and undiluted, God’s abundant life will be manifest in your material circumstances. If your four lower bodies are indeed pure, the light of God will flow through them without being diluted in the process. As an example of a person who had this purity in his four lower bodies, look at the life of Jesus. Jesus had reached a level of attainment where he knew that he was not acting on his own power. He was not acting exclusively by using his physical body. He was not even acting exclusively by using psychic energy, energy that was brought into the identity, the mental or the emotional realm. Jesus knew that he of his own self could do nothing (John 5:30) because it was the Father within him who was doing the work (John 5:17). The Father within him was his I AM Presence and the light of God. He knew that without using the pure light of God, he could accomplish nothing of value, nothing of timeless significance.

By coming to this recognition, Jesus opened up and purified his four lower bodies whereby the light of God could flow through them and be directed by his outer mind. His mind, of course, was in perfect alignment with the divine plan for his mission in that incarnation. Jesus did indeed use all of his four lower bodies when he brought things into manifestation. Take for example the situation of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1). Jesus does not even enter the tomb. He stays outside the tomb, he gathers all his concentration, and then he exclaims: “Lazarus, come forth!” (John 11:43). When Jesus said that, he did not speak softly. He was not speaking a prayer, he was not making a request. He was indeed taking dominion over his four lower bodies and with the full force of his total being, he was issuing a command. This command had all the power and intensity of his physical voice. His voice was infused with the intensity of his emotions, his unconditional love for Lazarus. His emotions were a perfect expression of the pure vision of Lazarus’ awakening and healing that he held in his mental body. Jesus knew with absolute certainty that it was indeed possible for the power of God to re-infuse a dead body with life. His mental body was empowered by the sense of identity that came from knowing that he was a son of God, a co-creator with God, who was here to bring the abundant life into manifestation in the material universe. As Jesus said: “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Because Jesus’ four lower bodies were pure, the power of God could flow through them and awaken the cells and atoms of the body of Lazarus, clear them of the imperfect thoughtforms of disease and make it possible for his soul to reenter his body, which was now purified of all infirmity. I am aware that many people in today’s world, even many Christians, ignore Jesus’ miracles or reject them as being superstition. They were not the products of the imagination, nor were they the additions of the Gospel writers seeking to build Jesus up as a miracle worker. They were indeed real, and they were the products of the fact that Jesus had purified his four lower bodies so that the power of God could flow through them in full force. Through Jesus, the power of God could accomplish things that seemed miraculous to people in a normal state of consciousness. They were not miraculous, they were simply the higher spiritual law brought into action in the material universe, thereby superseding the material laws and their limitations.

Let me give you a sense of co-measurement of the power of God that is possible for anyone who will walk the path of Christhood that Jesus demonstrated. Again, consider Jesus’ statement: “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do” (John 14:12). Do you think Jesus was making an empty promise here? So many Christians have ignored this statement. I can assure you that this statement describes the fact that every human being on earth has a Christ potential. If you are willing to follow the path taken by Jesus, the path of overcoming the mortal self, of slaying the dragon of the mortal self, you can indeed do the works that Jesus did. God can do the same works through you that God did through Jesus. When the power of God flows undiluted through your four lower bodies, there is no limitation to what God can do.

The dualistic mind springs from a sense of separation from your source, from your own higher Being and God. Due to this separation, you do not believe God can work through you, and thus you are denying God the ability to work through you. The dualistic beliefs that have accumulated in your four lower bodies block the flow of God’s light, and therefore your creative powers are reduced to a mere fraction of their true potential. You were designed to have the power of God flowing through your four lower bodies, and in their purified form, those bodies can hold the immense power demonstrated by Jesus. When you descend into the consciousness of separation and duality, the power can no longer flow. You now begin to believe that you are the doer, that you are acting on your own power and that you can act independently of God and God’s light. Everything is made from the Ma-ter Light so you can do nothing without God’s light. The only question is whether you are acting on the pure light of God or light that has been brought into a lower frequency spectrum.

This is a subtle distinction that has been overlooked by most people, even many spiritual gurus. When your sense of identity is centered around the physical body, you can act only by using the energies that vibrate within the material frequency spectrum. Because your consciousness cannot see beyond that spectrum, you can see no connection between material energy and God. You cannot see that even physical matter is made from the light of God that has been lowered in vibration and has taken on a specific form. You do not see God as the single cause behind the myriad manifestations. Due to the dualistic lies programmed into your mind by the mortal self and the prince of this world, you deny God’s presence where you are. This denial forms a block so that God cannot work through you—because God never violates his own Law of Free Will. When you overcome the illusion of separation by letting the mind of Christ be in you, you realize that you – meaning the outer mind and mortal self – are not the doer. Everything is done with God’s energy so God is always the ultimate cause. You can continue to maintain the illusion of separation whereby you confine yourself to a mere fraction of your true creative potential. Doing this is a choice and not some condition put upon you by an angry God. One might say that it is a condition put upon you by an angry god, namely the false god – the angry being in the sky – created by the prince of this world and the collective consciousness of humankind. When you begin to grasp the truth of Christ, you see that you have the potential to reclaim your original mission of being a co-creator with the real God, the inner God who longs to see you co-create the abundant life he envisions for you. Jesus came to set all people free from the limitations of their mortal selves and the dualistic reasoning that limits God’s power and prevents God from working through them.

Everything is made from the Ma-ter Light. Your Creator created the Ma-ter Light and this light has been used to create spheres within spheres, worlds within worlds, that extend from the highest level of God’s creation all the way to the material universe. When each succeeding sphere was created, the Ma-ter Light was lowered in vibration to a different frequency spectrum. Within each sphere, there are a number of frequencies, there are different layers. 

The material universe is made from spiritual light that has been lowered in vibration to a certain spectrum of frequencies. Within the material spectrum, there are four different levels of frequencies, or vibrations. The colors of the rainbow are made from light of different colors. The light rays have different colors because they vibrate at different frequencies. There are four levels of frequencies that make up the material universe. As the spiritual light is lowered in vibration, it first enters the highest spectrum of the material realm where it takes on a certain form. As it flows through each succeeding level, the light takes on a more dense, or manifest, form until it finally takes on the most dense form, the type of forms that can be detected by your physical senses.

The four levels of the material universe correspond to four spheres, or bodies, that together make up the entire universe. The physical universe that can be detected by your senses and scientific instruments made of matter is only the tip of the iceberg. It is the lowest of the four realms in terms of vibration, which means that what is manifest in the matter realm is a product of causes set in motion in the higher realms. There truly is, as Shakespeare said, more between heaven and earth, and that more is the three other levels of the material universe.

This truth has been known to people for thousands of years. It was known to the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, it was known to Jesus and he taught it to his disciples when he gave them the more advanced teachings he could not give to the public (Mark 4:34). It was later known to the medieval alchemists and the Christian mystics who practiced their spiritual version of Christianity beneath the radar of the orthodox church. Unfortunately, modern science has scoffed at its own roots, namely the alchemists, who talked about the four elements, which they called fire, air, water and earth, and the fifth element, named ether, which represents the spiritual realm. Science has made many discoveries that actually affirm the existence of these four levels of the material universe, but so far no one has connected the dots and seen the parallels between physics, especially quantum physics, and the teachings of the ancients.

I will once again give you a linear image of a reality that is not quite as linear as your outer mind would prefer. I ask you to keep in mind that there is more to understand and that what I give you is a somewhat simplified image. The fact that there are four levels of the material universe has a universal and a personal perspective. There are four levels of the universe as a whole and there are four levels of your own being, meaning the lower part of your sphere of self. The part of your being that is designed to express your creativity in the material universe has four bodies, and your physical body is only the tip of the iceberg. As a visual image, you might envision that your physical body is surrounded by an invisible energy field, almost like a magnet is surrounded by a magnetic field. This energy field has three distinct levels, corresponding to the three levels of your being that are above the physical body in vibration. The existence of such an energy field around the body has been known to people for thousands of years. The ancient science of acupuncture is based upon it, and today certain digital cameras can actually make the energy field visible on a computer screen. In the future, medical science will learn how to make use of this technology to diagnose and prevent diseases before they manifest in the physical body.

Your physical body does not produce this energy field. Instead, it would be more correct to say that the energy field produces the physical body. The body is simply the tip of the iceberg of your total energy field. It is that part of your lower being that vibrates within the frequency spectrum that can be detected by your physical senses and most scientific instruments. Your physical body is an outpicturing – in the spectrum of frequencies that make up physical matter – of the images held in your three higher bodies.

Let us envision that we are in the lower level of the spiritual realm, and we are about to cross an invisible barrier and travel into the material universe. As we cross that barrier, we now enter the highest level of the material realm. This is what the ancients called the fire element. Some spiritual teachings call it the etheric level, or the etheric plane, some call it the memory body. I would like to call it the level of identity or the identity body. At this level of the material universe, the energies are still of a quite high vibration, which means that they are highly fluid, that they are not nearly as dense as what you detect with your physical senses. The more fluid the energies are, the easier it is to change the images and thoughtforms that are found at that level. The higher the vibration, the easier it is to change the forms taken on by the Ma-ter Light.

The identity body is where your personal sense of identity is stored. It is also where the collective sense of identity, created by humankind, is stored. It is where the lower blueprint for planet earth and every condition found upon it is stored. On a personal level, you have an identity body, and it is the seat of your sense of identity, your sense of who you are. It also stores your basic world view, what some people call your paradigms, namely the fundamental beliefs you rarely question.

This identity body forms the highest level of the lower part of your sphere of self, the lower part of the figure eight. Your four lower bodies form a vehicle that was created in order to allow you to express yourself in the material universe. Your identity body forms the highest level of this vehicle. Every aspect of your identity body is designed to facilitate the expression of your creative abilities and your divine identity in the material universe. Your identity body is designed to be the bridge or gateway between the spiritual realm and the material realm. It is only through your identity body that you can maintain a connection to the higher part of your being, namely your I AM Presence, which permanently resides in the spiritual realm and cannot descend into the denser energies of the material universe.

Even though I call it your identity body, there is more to your identity than the images stored in your identity body. You are far more than the images of yourself that are stored in your identity body. The Conscious You is not trapped in your identity body and can indeed reach beyond it to identify with your I AM Presence. The Conscious You only needs the identity body in order to express itself in the material world. The images of yourself stored in the identity body are truly images that relate to how the Conscious You can express itself in the material realm. The sense of identity in your identity body is relative to the material universe.

If you have a completely pure sense of identity, the images in your identity body will be a reflection of your spiritual identity that is anchored in your I AM Presence. You will then see yourself as an immortal spiritual being who is expressing itself in the material realm through a temporary lower vehicle. You will see yourself as an infinite being, expressing itself through an individualized and limited identity that is focused in and around a physical body on a specific planet, called earth. You will always know that you are more than this identity, and this is important in order to avoid becoming trapped in the lower sense of identity that relates to the material universe, to planet earth and to your physical body. If your identity body is pure, you will always know that you are more than the four lower bodies. If your identity body becomes polluted by dualistic images, a part of your mortal self will occupy that level of your being and begin to influence how you see yourself. Because your identity body is the highest level of your lower being, your sense of identity will affect everything that happens at the lower levels.

The Greek philosopher, Plato, talked about a realm of ideal forms. These were pure geometric forms that were the basic building blocks of the entire universe. What he was talking about was the etheric, or identity, realm in its purest form. At the very highest level of the identity realm, you do find the pure geometric forms that were designed in a higher realm, in the universal Christ mind. These geometric forms were designed to form the building blocks that would give God’s co-creators a safe framework for their experimentation with free will in the material realm. When you co-create by using the pure geometric forms, your creation will always be in harmony with the laws of God. You will multiply, rather than limit, your creative powers. You can use these ideal forms to create an individual manifestation that is in complete harmony with the All so that your creative efforts will only enhance all life on this planet and thereby help bring God’s kingdom to earth. It is only when people can no longer see the pure geometric forms, and instead see the imperfect forms generated by the dualistic mind, that they begin to create suffering and turn life into a struggle.

I have earlier given you the image of a movie projector in which the light from the bulb shines through the filmstrip and the images on the filmstrip are projected onto the screen. Your identity body forms one filmstrip, and whatever images you allow in your identity body, will form the first level of your manifestation in the material world. It is not the only level, but it is the first, and it will form the basis for everything that comes after.

My beloved heart, I will now give you another key that it is essential for you to understand before you can truly manifest the abundant life. When I survey the course of history and the history of individual lifestreams, including your own, I see that the one thing that truly prevents people from manifesting the abundant life is the tendency to wait for the right outer conditions before you make a move, before you change yourself, before you give up some part of your mortal self. This very problem springs from the mortal self and its built-in tendency of wanting to attain a state of ultimate security. 

The mortal self has a built-in conflict, an inescapable contradiction, that cannot be resolved. Your mortal self was born when the Conscious You decided that it would no longer make decisions, and thus it wants to make decisions for you. Because the Conscious You can never lose its drive for wholeness, your mortal self wants to satisfy this desire. The mortal self cannot understand what true wholeness is, and thus it seeks to give you a sense of security by controlling every aspect of your life.

The ultimate and only source of true wholeness is that the Conscious You identifies itself with your I AM Presence and takes part in, plunges itself into, the River of Life. Only when you are in God’s ongoing flow of abundance – of self-transcendence, of becoming more – can you feel truly whole. The mortal self can never be in that flow of life because, as Jesus said, it has no life in it (John 6:53). The mortal self can never give you a true sense of wholeness. It will seek to produce a substitute, a false feeling of wholeness, which is what the Bible describes as those who cry peace but there is no peace (Jeremiah 6:14).

This is the central contradiction, the central dichotomy, of the mortal self. The real key to wholeness is to be in the River of Life, which is constant self-transcendence. In order to be truly whole, you must be constantly transcending yourself, constantly becoming more than you are at this moment. This is the joy of life, this is true wholeness. The mortal self is trying to create the illusion of wholeness by stopping growth, by stopping self-transcendence, by preventing you from becoming more. The mortal self has an image of wholeness as something that is in a state of “perfection,” meaning that everything stands still and nothing changes. It believes it can attain this perfection by controlling you and everyone else, even by controlling the material universe. Your mortal self and the prince of this world are constantly trying to control the universe and make it conform to their mental images.

Unfortunately, this image of perfection as still-stand is very persuasive and it has found its way into many cultures and religions. Many religions teach the image of the external God, claiming that this God is perfect. They think that if something is perfect, it could not possibly change. Your mortal self and the forces of anti-christ are constantly trying to stop self-transcendence, to stop growth, to stop the process of God becoming more through you. They are trying to create a counterfeit kingdom, a kingdom of man, in which there is no growth, in which they have defined a state of “perfection” based on the duality consciousness. They have managed to make most people and societies fit into that mental box, fit into that mold, for what is perfect.

This is an illusion. This is completely impossible. This is attempting to do something that simply cannot be done. One of the safety mechanisms built into the material universe is that nothing can stand still. Because you have been given free will, you can choose to pull yourself away from the ongoing River of Life. You can pull yourself up upon the river bank and stand still on the shore while the River of Life is flowing by you. Because God has given you free will, he has given you the ability to do this and he has set up the material universe with a delay factor that allows you to maintain the illusion that you are now standing still in your own little world. You have now created some perfect state and if only you maintain status quo, you will be in this paradise forever. This illusion can truly exist only in the mental box of your mortal self, and it can, as every other aspect of the mortal self, exist only for a time. It is inevitable that the contracting force of the Mother will eventually break down this illusion. That is why, over the course of history, many civilizations have indeed reached a high level of attainment and have then inexplicably collapsed. These civilizations collapsed because they thought they had attained perfection, and thus they refused to self-transcend. Inevitably, the contracting force of the Mother broke down the towers of Babel that they had built, thinking that those towers were reaching into the heavens.

Humankind has been on this impossible quest for thousands upon thousands of years, even for much longer than is currently recognized by your historians and scientists. You can continue on this quest until your allotted time runs out, if that is what you desire. I am not here to encourage you to do so. I am here to encourage you to pull yourself away from this impossible quest and instead recognize the eternal truth that the only key to true wholeness, and the only true key to salvation, is to get back into the River of Life and to continually self-transcend.

Your mortal self is programmed to do everything it can to prevent you from self-transcending, to prevent you from going beyond the mental box defined by its dualistic beliefs. Your mortal self has managed to make the Conscious You believe, at least partially, in the lie that perfection means stillstand. Your mortal self has managed to make the Conscious You believe that you need security. In many cases, it uses the insecurity in the outside world, the turmoil generated by the duality consciousness, to get you to strive for this sense of stability, security and comfortability. If you will take an honest look at people in the world, you will see that although there are many outer addictions, behind all of these outer addictions is the addiction to security, the addiction to comfortability. Many people are truly security addicts, and they are trying to establish some sense of security above all else. In so doing, they are willing to sacrifice growth, to stop the motor of life, to kill the joy of life. They want the process of life to come to a halt so they can attain and maintain a sense of security based on the idea that if nothing changes, nothing bad can happen.

This drive for security is based on a fear of growth, a fear of change. The essence of life is growth, meaning self-transcendence. Because your mortal self cannot understand this, it has managed to project into your being the fear of change, based on the reasoning that change can only be for the worse, change can only be bad, change can only mean that you lose something. I have told you over and over again that you have free will and that everything revolves around the Conscious You and the decisions you make. If you allow the mortal self to make decisions for you, you will never break this stranglehold of being on the impossible quest, the drive for security and stability in a world of constant and unavoidable change. Why is change unavoidable? Because God’s law is set up to prevent you from becoming trapped in a limited state. It mandates that you must either change by following the drive to become more, or you must change because the contracting force of the Mother will break down your graven images, break down what you seek to keep unchangeable. You must change through self-transcendence or self-contraction. If you take unto yourself a graven image, the contracting force of the Mother will generate an opposing force that will challenge the image in order to set you free.

This impossible quest for the security that cannot be obtained in this world is what turns your life into an ongoing struggle. Your mortal self believes that if only it can attain this ultimate sense of security in which nothing changes, then your struggles will be over. If only you will stop all attempts to self-transcend, you will forever remain in this state of paradise. It is the quest for stability, it is the quest for non-change, that sets up the struggle because it puts you at odds with the very nature of life itself, which is ongoing change in the form of self-transcendence. The only way you can begin to free yourself from this sense of struggle is that the Conscious You realizes that your mortal self is on an impossible quest. You must fully understand what I have told you, namely that the ultimate key to security and wholeness is to be in the flow of the River of Life so that you are constantly growing and becoming more, rather than seeking to stay the same. Growth does not mean loss. How could you possibly lose when you are growing and becoming more? The Conscious You can never lose by growing. But the mortal self and the forces of this world can indeed lose when the Conscious You grows and transcends the limitations they have attempted to define for you. That is why they have projected the fear of growth into your being, and they have linked it to a fear of loss. They are the ones who have the fear of loss, but they have managed to make the Conscious You identify itself partly or wholly with that fear of loss. That is why so many people on this planet do not want to change and fear that change can only be for the worse. Many people talk about the “good old days” as a time when everything was better and change has only been for the worse. In reality, many of the changes happening in the world are clearly for the better and are bringing more abundance for more people.

If you are to manifest the abundant life, what will it take for you to get that abundant life? Let us simply do a reality check. The reality is that you do not currently have the abundant life. If you had the abundant life, why would you be studying this course? If you currently do not have the abundant life, what will it take for you to attain that abundance? For you to attain the abundant life, something must change. If you are to have something you do not currently have, then something must change. If you are unwilling to change, if you are afraid to change, how could you possibly attain what you do not have? This might seem like a very simple line of reasoning, it might seem naive, unsophisticated or self-evident to some. But if you had truly understood this simple principle, you would not be reading this course; you would be enjoying the abundant life.

If you are to obtain something that you do not currently have, something must change, and what is it that must change? What must change is you, the Conscious You. You must change your approach to life. If your current approach has not produced the abundant life, the only realistic possibility for manifesting abundance is to change your approach to life. If what you have done so far has not produced the desired result, then you must change your approach. Again, consider Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity, namely that insanity is when you keep doing the same thing but expect different results. This is the insanity built into your mortal self. Your mortal self is like a computer that is programmed to do the same thing over and over again. It truly believes that if it keeps doing the same thing, if it keeps trying to stop the clock, trying to stop self-transcendence, it will one day produce the ultimate state of security in which nothing changes. Your mortal self will keep doing this indefinitely, as a computer will keep doing the same thing until you tell it to do something different. Your mortal self cannot change its basic approach, it does not have the ability to change its very nature, as a computer does not have the ability to change its own programming.

The only one who can change what is happening in your life is the Conscious You. You must make the decision that you are willing to self-transcend. You must take the first step and give up some of the dualistic beliefs of your mortal self, even though you might have used such beliefs to establish a fragile sense of security. This is the essential principle for manifesting abundance, a principle that most people – even people who have studied abundance for a long time, even many of the abundance gurus – have overlooked. If your life is to change, you must change. If your world is to change, you must begin by changing yourself. If your life experience is to change, you must take the first step by changing your consciousness, by changing your approach to life.

The very basis for change is that you are willing to give up at least part of your current sense of identity. You must be willing to give up some of the dualistic beliefs of your mortal self, the beliefs that keep you trapped in a prison of limitations and a sense of lack. The basic principle of growth is that you must be willing to let your current sense of identity die so you can be reborn into a new and more expanded sense of identity. The central issue here is that you cannot move into that new sense of identity, perhaps you cannot even clearly see this new sense of self, until you are willing to let the old sense of self die. You cannot receive abundance until you are willing to give up your limitations. Let me say this as loudly as I can: You must give before you can receive!

My beloved heart, we have now come to a crucial point in the unfoldment of this series of teachings from my heart to yours. This point is crucial because unless you fully absorb and accept what I am about to tell you, my attempts to help you accept the abundant life will have failed. Instead of following me into a life of abundance, you will follow – or keep following – the false gurus into a life of lack and struggle. 

The Conscious You decided to experiment with the duality consciousness and gradually became more and more enveloped in that state of mind until you lost the conscious connection to your I AM Presence, until you fell into a lower state of consciousness. At the moment you lost the thread of contact, your mortal self was born. This mortal self forms the enemy within that works in conjunction with the enemy without, namely the forces of anti-christ, to keep you trapped indefinitely in the duality consciousness. They will do this in any way possible, and I have outlined some of the strategies used by these forces to keep you trapped. I will now tell you about the one, underlying strategy, the master strategy, used by the forces of duality to keep you trapped in that mental box. In order to understand this strategy and how it is used against you, you need to understand the central characteristic of your mortal self.

The Conscious You is the seat of your free will. It is the Conscious You that makes decisions. It is the Conscious You that has the ability to make decisions that are in harmony with the laws and the will of God or to make decisions that are out of alignment with God’s will and God’s laws. Everything in your life revolves around the Conscious You and the decisions you make. The Conscious You is, at any time, what it sees itself as being. The Conscious You makes decisions based on its current sense of identity, its current understanding and belief system. The Conscious You was created as an extension of the pure awareness of God. It has a built-in desire to be part of the River of Life, to flow with the All of God’s creation and to become more. The Conscious You always wants to do the right thing. The Conscious You always attempts to choose the option that is in alignment with its purpose for being and that will enhance its own life and the All of God’s creation—as the Conscious You currently understands both its own identity and its connection to the All of God.

The Conscious You always chooses the option that it sees as being best for itself and best for the whole. The problem is that if the Conscious You begins to identify itself with the mind of duality, it cannot see what is ultimately best for itself and best for the All. Instead, the only options it can see are options that are based on the consciousness of duality. No matter which option the Conscious You chooses, it becomes further enveloped in the consciousness of duality. Once it passes the critical point of losing the thread of contact to the I AM Presence, it can no longer see any way out of what now seems to be a maze where every choice leads to a dead end. Imagine one of the mazes, found in many places around the world, made out of tall hedges. Imagine that you are standing on a platform high above such a maze, and you are looking down upon it and the people who are trying to find their way out of the maze. When you are looking at the maze from above, it is so easy for you to see which pathways lead to dead ends and which pathway leads out of the maze. Now imagine that you shift your perspective so you are down in the maze and all you can see are the green walls around you. Suddenly, it becomes impossible to know which path leads to a dead end or to the exit. This is literally the difference between having some measure of Christ consciousness, some connection to your I AM Presence, and being completely trapped in the duality consciousness.

The mortal self and the prince of this world know that the Conscious You is not stupid and wants to do the right thing. How can they get you to do something that springs from the duality consciousness and thus hurts yourself? They can do so only by confusing the Conscious You with a relative, dualistic belief system that obscures the reality that certain acts will hurt you. In the realm of duality, everything is relative and your mortal self can always justify what it wants to do. When you look at life through this filter of duality, you cannot see that anything you do – even that which appears to be good – only traps you more firmly in the consciousness of anti-christ.

When the Conscious You decided to experiment with the duality consciousness, it made a decision to do so. Surely, it was tempted by the existence of that duality consciousness. The Conscious You had not yet created the mortal self within its sphere of self, but it had opened itself up to the temptation from the enemy without, the serpentine consciousness. This was a decision that the Conscious You made because it had come to doubt the validity of its spiritual teacher and his instructions. It had come to wonder what would happen if, instead of following the instructions of its spiritual teacher, it decided to go outside of the safe framework of those instructions. Why did the Conscious You make this choice? It did so mainly because of a combination of its desire to be more and its lack of experience, especially lack of experience with the duality consciousness. The Conscious You started to wonder: “Could there be more to experience by going outside the framework of God’s law and the teacher’s instructions? What would it be like, what would happen if I experimented with the duality consciousness? Would I become more, would I gain experiences that I would not have by staying in the framework of following the teacher’s instructions?”

By experimenting with the duality consciousness, the Conscious You did have experiences that were beyond what it could have had by staying in oneness. From a certain perspective, one might say that there was more – meaning something different – to experience outside of oneness than there was inside of oneness. The problem is that by experimenting with the duality consciousness, the Conscious You did not become more than it was before partaking of that state of mind. On the contrary, the Conscious You became less than it was created to be, less than it was before experimenting with duality. Instead of identifying itself as an immortal spiritual being with unlimited creative potential, the Conscious You now began to identify itself as a limited being that was trapped by its former choices and therefore was boxed in by many limitations.

The further you descended into the duality consciousness, the more limitations you accepted as being real and unavoidable. You became more and more enveloped in limitations, lack and suffering, you became less than the God-free, immortal being you were created to be. This might give a new meaning to the old saying that less is more. For truly, if you seek more by going outside the oneness of God, by limiting your creative potential, you will end up with less.

God has given you free will. It is not inevitable that you personally should experiment with the duality consciousness. It is virtually inevitable that at least some co-creators would choose to experiment with that state of consciousness. Your lifestream was not created with full God-awareness, and therefore you did not have the absolute knowledge of what would happen when you began to experiment with the duality consciousness. Neither did you have any prior experience with which to compare. All you could do was to follow the directions of the teacher, yet that teacher was outside yourself. The question becomes: “Can you follow the directions of an external teacher, and internalize those directions, until they truly become part of you and you understand why the directions were given? Or do you need to have the experience of what it is like to go against the teacher’s directions so that you now know what will happen. Through trial and error, you can make the decision and come to the understanding of why the teacher’s directions were given?”

There are two ways to growth. One is by following a true spiritual teacher until you have fully absorbed the teacher’s instructions, until you have become so fully one with the teacher that you know why his instructions were given. You no longer see the teacher as an external being and you no longer see his instructions as coming from a source outside yourself. You have expanded your sense of self to incorporate the teacher. You have, on your path to becoming one with the All of God, become one with the teacher. You see him as part of your greater being and you see his instructions as coming from inside your own greater self.

The true path to salvation is the path of increasing your sense of oneness with God until you attain full God consciousness, complete oneness with the All of your Creator. As a stepping stone towards this oneness with the All of God, the Creator has set up a path for you to follow. That path is to give you an external teacher who is more experienced than yourself. If you will follow that teacher’s instructions, and follow them in the spirit of oneness, you will eventually reach a state of oneness with the teacher. This is a stepping stone towards attaining oneness with your Creator. When your lifestream first ventures into the material universe, a certain forgetfulness takes place and you lose your direct sense that you are one with your Creator, that you are an extension of your Creator. You know that you have an I AM Presence, which is a spiritual Being that resides in a higher realm, but you do not fully understand that your I AM Presence is an extension of your Creator. To help you grow into that understanding, your Creator gives you a spiritual teacher that exists at the same level of vibration to which the Conscious You has descended. You can see and comprehend the external teacher with your current level of awareness, and therefore you can hear the teacher’s instructions. This was indeed the Garden of Eden, which is a symbol for the state of consciousness that a lifestream had when it first descended into the denser energies of the material universe.

Contrary to what some people think, or what some religions teach, you were not simply tossed into this world with no recourse, with no connection to the spiritual realm. You were given a protected environment in which you had a loving teacher who could give you instructions. The highest potential for this environment was that you would not simply follow the teacher’s instructions but that you would see behind the outer instructions and attain a sense of oneness with the teacher. Hereby, you would attain the same level of spiritual awareness, the same level of attainment, as the teacher. This would take you higher in oneness with God, to the point where you could no longer lose that sense of oneness because you were now permanently identified with your I AM Presence. You would have fully internalized and accepted that you are an extension of God and that the Conscious You can identify itself as one with the All of your Creator, even as one with the Allness of the pure Being of God.

I would like to go in a slightly different direction by asking you to participate in an exercise. I will give you very few instructions before the exercise in order to give you a more open and true response. The only physical requirement is that I ask you to have pen and paper ready so you can write down your response.

You do need to be aware of what psychologists have called your internal dialogue. This is the dialogue you have with yourself, often inside your head, sometimes spoken aloud. You may already be well aware of this internal dialogue, and if so I simply ask you to pay attention to it during the exercise. If you are not familiar with the concept of the internal dialogue, I ask you to think about a situation that has been a great burden to you. After the situation occurred, you would go over it again and again, thinking about what should have happened and what should not have happened. You might also consider that you sometimes have dreams about what you would like to see happen in your life, and you go over them again and again inside your head, hoping for what might happen. Such conversations with yourself are what psychologists call your internal dialogue, and during the exercise you need to pay attention to it.

In a more general sense, in order to truly uncover the blocks of your mortal self that stand between you and your progress on the path, you will need to start paying attention to your internal dialogue. In many cases it will be your mortal self that is carrying on this internal dialogue. By listening to the dialogue, the Conscious You can expose the mortal self and its dualistic reasoning. In some cases, your internal dialogue is carried on between the Conscious You and the mortal self. In that case you can also learn from the responses from your mortal self. In some cases it will be necessary for you to consciously withdraw from having these conversations with your mortal self because they lead nowhere. In some cases your internal dialogue, or at least part of it, might also come from a higher part of your being that is trying to enlighten you concerning the right way to go.

Let me ask you to participate in the following exercise. I would like you to envision that you are sitting in a comfortable chair that is located on the bank of a beautiful mountain lake. The lake is surrounded by tall pine trees that give out their characteristic fragrance, making the air smell pure and fresh. The birds are singing joyfully from the tops of the tall pines. In front of you is a deep blue mountain lake that is calm as glass. There is a slight mist, but you can still see the opposite bank of the lake, and you see a beautiful mountain range behind the forest. The entire scene is one of peace and tranquility.

I ask you to envision this situation and allow yourself to feel the calmness and the peace of this beautiful lake. Take a few minutes, if you like, to close your eyes and imagine that you are sitting at this mountain lake, feeling completely at peace, with none of your normal cares. Now that you are situated at the lake and feel at peace, I ask you to envision that you sense that there is a being standing behind you. That being is God, in whatever form you envision God. I now ask you to consider your internal dialogue and see what thoughts and words come up in your mind concerning God and how you look at God. I ask you to quickly write down the thoughts that come to you. Please do not analyze the thoughts, please do not try to evaluate whether they are acceptable according to any standard. Simply write down the thoughts that come to you about God.

Now that you have written down your thoughts about God and God’s presence, I ask you to envision that God is here to give you an opportunity to ask for forgiveness for the mistake you made in the distant past of turning away from God. In imagining what it would take for you to turn around, face God and ask for forgiveness, I again ask you to pay attention to your internal dialogue about this topic. Then quickly write down the thoughts that come to you without analyzing them in any way.

I now ask you to consider that the God who stands behind you feels nothing but unconditional and infinite love for you. If you are willing to rise, turn around, face God and embrace God, God’s love for you will melt away all negative feelings towards God and all imperfect self images. I now ask you to consider what your internal dialogue says about the possibility of you embracing God and accepting God’s unconditional love. What does your internal dialogue say about the conditions that would prevent you from doing this? Again, write down your thoughts quickly and with no analysis.

My beloved heart, this exercise is an exercise that you can use to uncover the deeper layers of your mortal self and the dualistic reasoning that your mortal self has used to prevent you from starting the path that leads you back to the true salvation, which is oneness with your God. The key is to perform the exercise with an open mind and to write down your internal dialogue without analyzing it while you are writing it down. If you will repeat this exercise and strive for greater and greater spontaneity in your responses, you can gradually uncover the dualistic beliefs that make up your mortal self. This will give you a foundation for replacing those dualistic beliefs with the truth of Christ.

Think back to what I said earlier, namely that the core of your identity, the Conscious You, is the key to your ascent or descent in consciousness. The Conscious You has the ability to identify itself with anything, and the key to growth is to free the Conscious You from any and all identification with the mortal self. You can identify yourself as the spiritual being that you are, as the individualization of God that you are, and you can uncover the true individuality, anchored in your I AM Presence. In order to free yourself from the mortal self, you need to come to a conscious recognition of the fact that your mortal self is a prison that is built out of many individual bricks, each brick representing a dualistic lie that you have come to accept. Only by consciously seeing through these lies, and seeing the truth that will make you free, can you escape that prison of the mortal self, can you free your sphere of self from the elements of the mortal self, the elements of the consciousness of anti-christ that drag you down as a gravitational force.

My beloved heart, there is absolutely nothing that prevents you from coming home to your Father’s kingdom. The entire idea that there is something that stands between you and God’s kingdom is an illusion. It is an illusion created by the enemy within you, your mortal self, and by the enemy without, the prince of this world. These two enemies have an interest in keeping you trapped in the mental prison of the mortal self. The door to that mental prison is not locked, and the idea that the door is locked is a dualistic illusion.

Many people might find this contradictory to what they were brought up to believe. So many people were brought up with two ideas that make it difficult to believe that they can reenter God’s kingdom at any time. One of these ideas is the concept that God is an angry and judgmental God who is sitting on a throne up in heaven, looking down upon your every move. This God is ready to judge and condemn you for every mistake you make—and even send you to hell if you violate his commandments.

This concept of the angry God in the sky has been reinforced by a number of religions on this planet. Unfortunately, even many Christian churches reinforce this false image, this idol, of God. This image of an angry, external God is a graven image, created by the mind of anti-christ.

The second image that might make it difficult to accept what I told you in the previous chapters is the concept, reinforced by many religions, that you need something or someone from outside yourself in order to be saved. The Christian religion is one of the primary promoters of this concept. Many Christian churches are absolutely firm in promoting the doctrine that Jesus Christ is the only road to salvation and that all non-Christians will go to hell. I know they base this doctrine on some of Jesus’ statements, but I challenge you to reread the Bible and find any passage where Jesus says that his outer person or the outer religion is the only road to salvation. If you come from a Christian background, you will instantly refer to the quote in the Gospel of John where Jesus says: “I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me” (John 14:6).

Jesus came to demonstrate, through his example, that it is possible for human beings on earth to reclaim the Christ consciousness and thereby become the Living Christ in embodiment. Jesus demonstrated this path by following it all the way to the end, meaning that towards the close of his mission he was so fully identified with the Universal Christ Mind that when he said the words “I AM,” he was not referring to the outer person in a human body. The conscious self of Jesus was completely identified with his I AM Presence and with his Creator.

When Jesus said the words “I AM,” he was truly referring to the Universal Christ Mind, to the I AM Presence and to the Creator, the I AM THAT I AM. When he said “I AM,” he meant the sense of self that is one with its divine blueprint, stored in the Universal Christ Mind, one with its immortal self and one with its Creator. Jesus was truly saying that the sense of self based on oneness is the way, the truth and the life. No human being can come to the Creator without going through the sense of oneness with God that springs from the mind of Christ. You cannot come to God as long as you see God as an external God, as an angry being in the sky. You can come to God only when you realize that you are an individualization of God, that you are a son or daughter of God, that you are God expressing itself through your localized sense of self, that the I AM within you is God.

This inner sense of oneness is the true key to salvation. It has always been so, and it will always be so. Throughout the ages, human beings have used the dualistic mind of anti-christ to create many graven images of God, of themselves and of the path to salvation. Nothing human beings have created has changed the basic fact that the only true way to salvation is oneness with your Creator. The only true road to salvation is that the Conscious You must shift its sense of identity so that it no longer identifies itself with the mortal self, so that it no longer identifies itself as being separated from, as being apart from, its Creator. The Conscious You must identify itself as an extension of the Creator and therefore as one with the Creator.

This is truly the meaning of Jesus’ statement that the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21). When you compare this to the quote from John, you will see that if the kingdom of God is truly within you, it makes no sense whatsoever that you should have to go through a historical person – who lived 2,000 years ago – in order to enter the kingdom of God. It makes no sense that you should have to go through an ascended being, whom you tend to identify as being outside yourself. This is not to say that you cannot enter God’s kingdom by going through the Ascended Master Jesus Christ, but you can do so only when you attain a sense of oneness with Jesus and see him as your brother, perhaps even as a greater part of your spiritual family, your Tree of Life, and as a greater part of yourself. I am not hereby denying the fact that Jesus today holds a spiritual office as Savior for this planet and that his assignment is to help every spiritual seeker enter God’s kingdom. Once again, you can do so only by going through the sense of inner oneness – the innocence – that is the true key to salvation.

In order to attain a sense of oneness with your Creator, you need to dispense with the image that God is an angry being in the sky who is ready to punish you for any mistake you make. You are the offspring of God. God created you to be a co-creator and God gave you imagination and free will. Your Creator has no other desire for you than to see you return to your original divine blueprint so that you can be who you were created to be. When you have returned to that state of grace, that state of innocence, you can build upon your divine individuality and become more than you were created to be. The Creator truly is an expression of God’s desire to be more, and therefore you, as a co-creator, are an expression of your Creator’s desire to be more. Your Creator has only one desire, and that is to be more. As an expression of that drive, God has created the world of form. As an even greater expression of the drive to be more, God has created self-aware co-creators so that the Creator can be more through you. Your Creator has no other desire than to be more through you. God can be more through you only when you are transcending yourself and becoming more than you were created to be.

As long as the Conscious You identifies itself as being less than your divine blueprint, God is not being more through you. This is not what God desires to see happen, as Jesus attempted to illustrate in his parable about the talents (Matthew 25:14). God rewards those co-creators who multiply their talents, yet even Jesus’ parable is not entirely correct. This is no fault of Jesus but caused by the fact that even Jesus had to express himself in a way that was adapted to the consciousness of the people at that time. This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that Jesus taught the multitudes in parables and explained the deeper mysteries to his disciples (Mark 4:34). Jesus even said: “I have yet many things to say unto you but ye cannot bear them now” (John 16:12). Two thousand years ago, humankind was still so trapped in the consciousness of fear and separation that people saw God as an external God. Jesus’ parable about the talents talks about the master who rewarded the servants that multiplied their talents and punished the servant who buried the talents in the ground (as a symbol for the mortal self).

God is not the one who punishes you. You are the one who is punishing yourself because God’s universe simply acts as a mirror. If you bury your talents in the ground of the duality consciousness, you are sending out a message that life is a struggle. The cosmic mirror reflects back to you situations that confirm your belief that life is a struggle. If you accept the image that God is an angry and judgmental being who will punish you for your mistakes, then you are sending that image into the cosmic mirror. Guess what the cosmic mirror will reflect back to you.

My beloved heart, it is time for us to take a closer look at who you really are, to take a closer look at your Self. I earlier talked about the fact that you were created out of God’s Being. I said that the origin of your identity, the origin of your Self, is pure awareness. Out of that pure awareness is formed the individual you, and this is what we might call the Conscious You or conscious self. This Conscious You is what gives you a sense that you exist and that you exist as a distinct being. That sense of existence is a very pure, universal state of awareness, and it truly has no individual characteristics. At the very core of this awareness is the sense that you exist as part of a larger whole but that your awareness is focused at a particular point within the whole. Instead of having the all-encompassing awareness of your Creator, whom we might say is outside of creation looking in, you have a localized awareness. You are inside creation, looking at it from the inside, from a particular vantage point inside the whole. 

We might compare this to what I earlier told you about the creation of the world of form. The Creator withdraws itself from a certain space and creates a void. It contracts itself into a singularity. The task of the Creator is to fill the void, and it starts by defining a sphere that is set apart from the void by containing some light. This sphere becomes the macrocosm. Within this sphere, the Creator is ever-present, yet the Creator now withdraws itself from a smaller sphere and contracts itself into a single point. That point becomes the Conscious You and the sphere becomes your container of self, your sphere of self. You are a sphere within the greater sphere of the consciousness of your Creator, you are the microcosm within the macrocosm of your Creator. Your task is to multiply what you have been given by God, to multiply your talents, so that you can take dominion, first over the sphere of self – the microcosm – and then over the larger sphere – the macrocosm – meaning the material universe. When you have taken this dominion over your sphere of self, filling it with light in harmony with God’s laws, you will become a Christed being, an immortal spiritual being. This will empower you to take dominion over the earth, bringing God’s kingdom of the abundant life into physical manifestation. You will be here below all that you are Above, you will be as Above, so below. This, and only this, will bring God’s kingdom to earth.

The Conscious You is truly the core of your individual identity, yet it is a pure state of awareness. It has an individual awareness but it has no individual characteristics. It cannot express itself directly in the world of form. In order to express itself, it must have an individuality, a sense of identity, through which it can express itself. Again, consider the analogy of a movie projector. If there is no filmstrip in the projector, it will merely project a rectangle of white light upon the screen. It needs a filmstrip through which it can project actual images that can stir the Mother Light and cause it to take on form. As a movie projector can project images through any filmstrip, the Conscious You can express itself through any sense of identity. The Conscious You can identify itself with, can identify itself as, anything it chooses. It is the task of the Conscious You to build its sense of identity, and God has given you complete freedom to choose according to your imagination and free will. God has given you freedom to “name” your identity and even name everything on earth according to your sense of identity (Genesis 2:19).

The Conscious You does not start out with a blank slate. It has a foundation upon which it can build its sense of identity, namely the divine individuality anchored in your I AM Presence. Your I AM Presence is permanently residing in the higher vibrations of the spiritual realm, and its individuality cannot be directly expressed in the material universe. Its individuality can be expressed only when the Conscious You uses it to build a sense of identity that is like the filmstrip in a movie projector.

Your sphere of self has a higher part and a lower part. The higher part resides in the spiritual realm and it contains your I AM Presence. The lower part vibrates within the frequency spectrum of the material universe, and it is through this lower part that you express yourself in the material world. Compare this to the number “8,” the figure eight. The upper part is in the spiritual realm, the lower part is in the material realm, and the Conscious You is in the center, in the nexus. I will later give you more detailed teachings about the lower part of your sphere of self, but for now the important concept is that the Conscious You directs the light of your I AM Presence, letting it flow through a sense of identity that it builds. This sense of identity can be based on anything that the Conscious You allows into the lower part of its sphere of self. You can build this sense of identity upon the rock of Christ, the individuality anchored in your I AM Presence, or upon the shifting sands of the consciousness of duality.

That is why the Conscious You has the ability to become more or less than you were created to be. You can either expand the individuality given to you by God or you can build a sense of identity that is less than what God envisions for you. You have freedom to choose anything, but you will inevitably experience what you choose. You will see the world through the filter of the sense of identity you build, and you will express yourself according to that identity. Your identity will determine what you project into the cosmic mirror, which, of course, determines what is reflected back to you.

We now have three aspects of your being. We have the upper part of your sphere of self, and it is filled with your I AM Presence. This spiritual self contains your divine blueprint, which is the individuality defined by your Creator and forever recorded in the Universal Christ Mind. We then have the Conscious You, which is located at the nexus between the upper and the lower part of your sphere of self. We have the lower part of your sphere of self, which is the part that the Conscious You uses to express itself in the material world. In this lower part resides your sense of identity, which is the filmstrip through which you project images upon the screen of life, upon the Mother Light. As is the case with the void, the lower part of your container of self was not full when your lifestream came into being. There was some empty space, and it is your task to fill it. The question now becomes what you – meaning the Conscious You – allow to enter the container of self. God has given you complete freedom to choose how to build your sense of identity.

This freedom is your supreme opportunity to become more than you were created to be, to build upon the foundation set by God, to be more than a robot. You do this by expressing your sense of self in the world of form. By expressing your creative powers and seeing the results, you add to the contents of the container of self. When you do this in harmony with the laws of God, you will add only sustainable, immortal elements to the container of self. Such elements can actually pass up to the upper part of the sphere of self and be stored in the Christ mind as what Jesus called your treasure laid up in heaven (Matthew 6:20).

Because you have free will, you can use your creative abilities in a way that is out of harmony with God’s laws and creative intent. When you do so, you will also add something to your container of self, and it will reside in the lower part of the sphere. What you add are mortal elements that can have no permanent existence. This is what makes it possible for you to create a mortal self, a sense of individuality that is less than what God gave you when your lifestream first came into being.

The core of your identity, the Conscious You, is independent of the contents that might or might not exist within the container of self. The Conscious You can exist independently of both your immortal self and your mortal self, meaning that it is a state of pure awareness that is completely self-sufficient. When it comes to expressing your creative powers in the world of form, the Conscious You cannot do this by itself. In order to express itself, the Conscious You must let its light shine through the contents in the container of self because it is these contents that determine the images that are projected onto the Ma-ter Light. The Conscious You is a state of pure awareness that expresses itself through a sense of self that exists within its sphere of self. The Conscious You can express itself through either the immortal self or the mortal self, depending on which self it identifies with at any given moment.

Because the Conscious You can exist independently of either the immortal or the mortal self, one can say that it has no fixed sense of individuality, no fixed sense of identity. The Conscious You is God’s pure Being that is focused as your individual being, but it has the potential to identify itself with anything. It was created in a polarity with your immortal self, but it can identify itself with anything it chooses, including the Allness of God’s Being, your immortal self, your mortal self or anything else in the world of form. It literally can identify itself as a rock if it so chooses. The Conscious You is the seat of your free will, the seat of your ability to make choices. You are what you see yourself as being, you are what you choose to be—and you can change that choice at any moment.

The Conscious You must express itself through some sense of self, some individual sense of identity. As I said in the analogy of a movie projector, there must be a filmstrip through which the light can shine so that distinct images are projected onto the screen. The images on the filmstrip are the individual characteristics, the beliefs and self-images that exist inside the container of self. The Conscious You is like the operator who determines which filmstrip is put into the projector. You were created with an immortal self, and you can add to that immortal self by expressing yourself through images that are in harmony with God’s laws. At some point in the past, the Conscious You decided to experiment with the duality consciousness, and it partook of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. As it did so, it added contents to the container of self and those contents were based on the relative “truth” that springs from the mind of anti-christ.

In the beginning, the dualistic elements hardly affected your creative expression or the sense of who you were. They could not overshadow or obscure your immortal self. As you continued to experiment with the duality consciousness, you added more and more mortal contents to the container of self, and gradually they began to hide your immortal self. This caused you to become a house divided against itself, and as you became more divided, the Conscious You began to focus more attention on the dualistic sense of self. This reinforced the mortal self and added to the dualistic contents, which became a downward spiral that eventually led to the critical point when the Conscious You decided that it was indeed a mortal, human being rather than an immortal spiritual Being expressing itself through a mortal form.

My beloved heart, I know it can sound dramatic when I tell you that your present sense of self has to die. It is not nearly as dramatic as it might sound. All self-aware beings have a great fear of losing their identity, their sense of self. Your very existence is based on the fact that you have individual characteristics that make you a distinct being. You were created to multiply your individuality and take dominion, first over self and then over the world in which you live. The last thing you would want is to lose your individuality, lose your self. At first sight, it might seem a terrifying thing to consider the idea that you have to lose your current sense of identity. Yet, your current sense of identity is not your true individuality. On the contrary, it is a limited self-image that covers over the much greater beauty and perfection of your God-given individuality. 

Did you lose anything in the process whereby your body grew from an infant to an adult? Certainly, you lost the body of a baby and you now have the body of an adult, but was that a net loss or was it truly a gain? If I told you that I would give you a million dollars if you would give me one dollar, would you lose anything in that bargain? Oh yes, you would lose the one dollar but you would get the million dollars instead, and thus you would be far better off than you were before we made that bargain. You do not truly lose something if it is replaced by something better. Your true individuality – that God gave you in the beginning – is a million times more beautiful and perfect than the individuality you have been brought up to accept in today’s materialistic world. There is no loss but a gain for both yourself and the greater Self, namely the Body of God of which you are a part.

When you descended into the lower state of consciousness, the duality consciousness, the mind of anti-christ, you did so in a gradual manner. When you rise back up to the Christ consciousness, to your true identity, this will also happen gradually. You will not come to a point when your present sense of self dies and you have nothing to put in its stead. You will gradually rise to a higher sense of self and a higher sense of self-worth, and therefore you need never feel it as a loss but only as a gain. There truly is nothing to fear. As you move on into the next chapters, and apply the tools I give you in this course, you will one day overcome your fear because you will open yourself up to the higher Being that you truly are. As you walk this gradual path of reestablishing your connection to your I AM Presence, you will one day experience a ray from the sun of your I AM Presence that shines directly into your lower being. As that ray fills your being, you will experience the perfect love, the unconditional love, that your I AM Presence and your Creator have for you. That perfect love will cast out all of your fears.

My beloved, why am I telling you that your present sense of self has to die? Why am I giving you a message that might seem frightening and that might not seem very appealing to your current sense of self? Why be so direct instead of selling you on a more gentle and appealing message that makes the path seem easier and less dramatic? Why run the risk of scaring off those who are not willing to confront their fears? I am doing this for many reasons, but one of the main reasons is that I want to give you the true path to the abundant life, even the eternal life.

The false gurus will make the promise that you can manifest God’s abundance, or even be saved, without letting go of your current sense of self, without letting your mortal sense of self die. This is a message that is very appealing to your mortal sense of self, and that is why people who are trapped in that mortal sense of self will buy the wares offered by the false teachers. This is also the way that seems right unto a human but can never lead to the true abundant life that will last for eternity. My first and foremost motivation for giving you the unpopular and unappealing truth is precisely that it is the truth. Only the truth will make you free.

Another important reason is that when you know and accept the truth that your current sense of self must die – so that you can be reborn into a higher, more spiritual, sense of self – then your path becomes so much easier to walk. For the past 2,000 years since my ascension I have watched millions of people sincerely strive to apply the teachings given by my beloved Jesus. I have seen so many sincere hearts give their all to walking the path that was handed down to them by the official Christian churches. Because these churches had taken out some of the very key concepts that Jesus gave – had taken out the key of knowledge – most sincere Christians did not have a true understanding of letting the mortal self die and thereby being reborn into a spiritual, immortal sense of self. Many of these people became trapped into the false path of seeking to perfect the mortal self, seeking to somehow adapt it to what they were told were the ideals preached by Christ. This has caused many people to use the outer mind to create an ideal, a mental image, an idol, of what a true follower of Christ should be like and how such a person should behave. They have spent a lifetime, often with great sincerity and devotion, attempting to mold themselves after that mental image by using their outer will.

This has often been an uphill battle and the simple reason is that until you let the mortal self die, you will inevitably be a house divided against itself (Mark 3:25). Every time the Conscious You takes a step closer to Christhood, the mortal self pulls you back, and thus you remain trapped in the dilemma described by Paul when he said: “For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do” (Romans 7:19). This has caused so many sincere people to feel ashamed or guilty because they could not live up to the mental image they were given in their churches, a mental image that was, from the very beginning, based on the duality of anti-christ. It was a false image, meaning that no one could possibly live up to this idolatrous image of human perfection that has nothing to do with the perfection of the heart. Remember how Jesus said that only the pure in heart shall see God (Matthew 5:8). The true meaning is that God does not require you to manifest an outer, human perfection based on an ideal that springs from the mind of anti-christ. God is looking for an inner quality, namely the purity of your heart. How do you attain purity of heart? You do so by letting the impure self, the mortal self, die so that it can be replaced by your true self, the self that God created in divine perfection and which has never left perfection.

My beloved heart, you might wonder how a being that was designed as a co-creator with God, a being who sprang from the Allness of God’s consciousness, a being who is truly God manifest as an individual lifestream, could possibly lose the awareness of the All from which it came. This is a question that you can benefit from pondering. 

There is no one answer to this question because each co-creator was designed as a unique individual. The exact reason that caused you to lose your connection to your source will not be the same reason as for someone else. The key to understanding the mystery is to ponder the dilemma of how you balance the fact that you have an awareness as an individual, distinct being, yet at the same time you are an expression of the Allness of God’s Being. This is the central challenge that comes along with the gift of individuality and free will. No co-creator has ever been able to escape this challenge. Many have met the challenge quite easily, while others have taken a long time to solve the enigma. A substantial portion of co-creators, including most of the billions of lifestreams who currently inhabit planet earth, have still not resolved the enigma, have still not solved the riddle of individuality.

The key to solving the enigma is to realize what it means that you are an individual being. Who are you, what are you, what is the core of your identity? All creation began with the singularity of the Creator. In the beginning was only God, the Creator, and God was – and is – a whole and self-contained Being. The Creator has self-awareness, and it has a distinct sense of its identity. The Creator started by creating the two basic forces, namely the expanding force of the Father and the contracting force of the Mother. These forces are not simply inanimate forces, as the forces of nature you see on planet earth, such as gravity and magnetism.

The two basic spiritual forces are guided by two self-aware beings that are the first co-creators to emerge from the Creator. These two beings are what the Bible refers to as Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. These two beings are not separated from the Creator, they truly are extensions of, manifestations of, the Creator. That is why the Bible records the saying: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8). We now have the Creator who has manifested itself as two self-aware beings, two co-creators. Each of these beings has self-awareness, and thus it has a sense of self as a distinct being, a distinct individual. Because Alpha and Omega were created directly by the Creator, their connection to the Creator is so strong and so direct that a being at this level is not likely to lose awareness of that connection, that oneness.

Alpha and Omega created offspring, and there are a number of self-aware beings that descended directly from Alpha and Omega. The direct offspring of Alpha and Omega then created their own offspring, and so on and so forth through many spheres of creation. No linear image can give a completely accurate description of the spiritual reality. Because your mind is still so programmed to think in linear terms, I am attempting the impossible by describing this in a linear way. All self-aware beings in the entire world of form are part of the same family tree that leads back to the one Creator. Without Him was not anything made that was made. If we go with the illustration of a family tree, we can see that a family tree has many branches, representing different generations. The further you are removed from the Creator on the Tree of Life, the more distant is your connection to the Creator. The further you are removed from the Creator, the easier it becomes to lose your awareness of that connection. You can become so focused on your individuality that you eventually forget about your origin and see yourself as a separate being, floating around as a ship adrift on an endless ocean.

The image of a family tree has some severe limitations when it comes to considering the Body of God, the Tree of Life. In a family tree, you are born into a certain position and you can never change that position. In the Body of God, each self-aware being, no matter where it originated, has the opportunity to rise through the different levels until it eventually reaches the full God consciousness. Likewise, a self-aware being can descend below the level at which it originated and therefore be removed even further from the God consciousness.

What will determine whether you rise higher or descend lower on the Tree of Life? The deciding factor is your sense of self, your self-awareness, your sense of identity. You are born in a certain family and your family has a genealogy that can be traced back many generations. Your genes and your upbringing have affected who you are today, who you see yourself as being. What many people do not realize is that your sense of identity is not fixed. Although it can be affected by outside forces, you have the potential to take dominion over your self and change your sense of self according to your highest vision.

Your physical body is a product of the genes passed down in your family, and your upbringing is a product of the world view and culture of your family and society. You are still a distinct individual, and you can rise above your family background in many ways, as many people have proven. Because you are truly a spiritual being, you have complete freedom to rise above your current sense of identity and even rise above the sense of identity with which your individual being was born. The very core of your being is your sense of self, your sense of identity.

When the Creator gave you self-awareness, imagination and free will, it created a being that has no fixed and immutable identity. You literally are who you think you are, you are who you see yourself as being. If you see yourself as a son of God, then you are a son of God. If you see yourself as a mortal human being, then you are a mortal human being, at least in the world of time and space. You can change your sense of identity, you can change your self-awareness, by using your imagination and free will. You can forget or deny that you are a son or daughter of God and instead envision and accept the sense of identity as a mortal sinner. Likewise, you can leave behind the limited sense of identity as a human being and reclaim the true identity with which you came into being. You can then build upon that immaculate concept and become more than you were created to be—which truly is the Creator’s hope for you.

Understanding these concepts might require a little bit of thought with the heart because the analytical mind will not be able to resolve what will seem to it like a contradiction. The Universal Christ Mind stores the divine blueprint, the immaculate concept, for your individuality, the individuality with which you were endowed when your lifestream first came into being. That blueprint can never be lost, and the greater spiritual being out of which you came will exist in the spiritual realm no matter what you do here on earth. That spiritual being is first and foremost your I AM Presence, but your I AM Presence is part of the family tree that reaches, possibly through many generations or levels, back to the Creator. You, as an individual being, are more than your I AM Presence, more than your family tree and more than your Creator. When I say “more” I do not mean this in a comparative way, as if you were better than God. What I mean is that you have a distinct sense of self-awareness that is beyond the self-awareness of the Creator and the members of your spiritual family.

You have a distinct sense of self-awareness, and it has two aspects, namely “awareness” and “self.” You are aware that you exist, that you have being, that you have life. That awareness is focused upon what you see as your “self,” as your identity. Your sense of awareness is the container for your being and your sense of self is the content of the container of your individual being. The awareness gives you existence, and the self gives your existence a specific focus and thereby a way to express yourself in the world of form.

Awareness is independent of the self in the sense that it does not depend on any form. It can exist as pure awareness without being focused on or through a specific individuality, and it is this awareness that is the very core of God’s being. The ultimate God is a state of pure awareness, and this awareness is beyond form, which means that it can never be lost or divided. It can express itself through a particular form, through an individual self, because without Him was not anything made that was made. The contents of this individual self can obscure the pure awareness, yet the pure awareness is immutable and eternal. As an old Indian proverb states: “Men may come and men may go, but I go on forever.” The sense of self is changeable, and it does depend on how you see yourself, how you imagine yourself to be and what you decide is real and is part of you. It all depends on the contents that you put into the container of self, and, obviously, your sense of self can be affected by the world of form. That is why the Conscious You can become lost in form and forget about the pure awareness that is its source. You can change your self-awareness by changing your sense of self, by changing the contents of your container of being.

Your awareness is like a sheet of white paper, and on that paper the Creator drew a beautiful drawing of your divine blueprint. As you begin to accept a lower sense of self, you scribble on the paper with black ink. If you keep doing this, you will eventually reach a point where the scribbles cover not only your divine blueprint but also the white paper behind it. Your pure awareness and the matrix of your spiritual self have been covered over with a tangled web of black lines with no clearly defined structure. Fortunately, the black lines are not made with a permanent marker. The black lines are drawn on a sheet of clear plastic, meaning that the white paper and the original blueprint are still intact and untouched.

Let me speak about the essence of the Christ consciousness. When your Creator decided to create individualizations of itself, a certain dilemma came into being. That dilemma is how to balance the relationship between an individualization of the whole and the whole itself so that the individual does not feel separated from the whole or acts in ways that diminish, rather than magnify, the whole.

Your Creator has a state of consciousness that is all-encompassing. Everything in the world of form is contained within the consciousness of your Creator—because your Creator has created everything out of its own substance, Being and consciousness. Likewise, everything created by self-aware co-creators – individualizations of the Creator – was created out of God’s Being. Your Creator is in everything that was ever created, and thus your Creator has an awareness of being the All and being in all. It is not entirely correct to say that the Creator creates form. It would be more correct to say that the Creator manifests itself as a certain form. The Creator takes on a certain form and clothes itself in limitations without losing its Allness. Once a form is brought into existence, that form exists precisely because it has certain characteristics that set it apart from:

The Allness of God, in which there is no form.

The void, in which there is only darkness and thus no form.

Other forms in the world of form.

The very essence of a given form is that it is defined by individual characteristics that set it apart, that differentiate it. If that form did not have any characteristics, it would still be within the Allness, and thus it would not exist as a distinct form. When the Creator manifests itself as a self-aware being, that being must of necessity have individual characteristics. If the being had no individuality, it would not exist as a distinct being, it would still be undifferentiated from the Allness of God’s Being. When it comes to inanimate forms or beings that do not have self-awareness (such as animals), the existence of individual characteristics do not pose a problem because differentiation from the All can never lead to separation from the All.

When it comes to self-aware beings, a potential problem, a sort of enigma, comes into being. A self-aware being can exist only because it has awareness; it is conscious of its own existence. The very core of your identity is your awareness that you exist as a distinct being with individual characteristics and the potential to express those characteristics through your creative powers. This is precisely what you were designed to do, namely to express your individuality and thereby co-create the kingdom of God wherever you are, including on planet earth.

You were also designed to express your individuality as part of the All and as part of the Body of God, the family of co-creators that exist in the world of form. You were not designed to express your creativity as if you existed in a vacuum. You were designed to express your individuality in a way that enhances the whole of which you are a part—and from which you can never be apart.

You can function as a co-creator with God only because you have imagination and free will. The way you express your imagination and free will is an expression of your self-awareness. The way you see yourself is what determines how you use your imagination to envision forms that are not yet manifest. It also determines how you use your will to decide which forms to manifest or which forms you can and cannot manifest. As long as your sense of self-awareness is in alignment with God’s reality, namely that you are part of the All and part of the Body of God on earth, your individual expression will be in alignment with the whole.

The very fact that you have unlimited imagination means that you can envision a sense of self-awareness as being apart from the All of God and as being separated from, even in competition with, other self-aware beings. The fact that you have unrestricted free will means that you can choose to accept such a limited self-image as real, and thereby you can create a new self-image that is based on separation rather than the original sense of oneness with which you were created.

This possibility is an inevitable aspect of giving you free will and imagination. It is not inevitable that you should choose to use your creative abilities to generate such a limited self-image. God did everything possible to make it easy for you to maintain a correct self-image and to build upon that image to become more than you were created to be—rather than to create a false self-image that makes you less than you were created to be.

The essential question is how a self-aware being can avoid acting as if it is separated from God, as if it is apart from God, or acting as if it is the only self-aware being in the universe or the only being that matters. I am sure you can see this dilemma. God created a great number of self-aware beings that are meant to act as co-creators. None of these self-aware beings were created as an island. No being was created to exist alone or independently of God or of others. No being was created to be the favorite son who could act as a king, with all other self-aware beings the mere servants of that one. Truly, as the Bible says: “God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34). The Creator loves all of its co-creators with an infinite love. When love is infinite and unconditional, there can be no comparisons and thus there are no favorite sons or daughters. All are loved with the same love because all are of equal value and equal importance in the eyes of the Creator. How can it be otherwise when every self-aware being is created out of the substance of the Creator and thus is the Creator manifesting itself as that individualized being?

Once the Creator has given a self-aware being imagination and free will, it becomes possible that the co-creator can separate itself from the whole and begin to act as if it is apart from others, even more important than others. In the act of separating itself from the whole, the self-aware being partakes of the “fruit of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:17), which truly means relative good and evil. In this consciousness of duality, comparisons are possible and thus a co-creator can build a self-image as being better than or more valuable than others. The being might build the desire to rule over others and to control the whole rather than working to magnify the whole.

If a co-creator accepts this dualistic self-image as reality, the co-creator will begin to act as if it is reality. A co-creator can gradually become so focused on this self-created “reality” that it forgets its true identity. The co-creator – who was designed to always retain its awareness of itself as an individualization of God – can lose that state of oneness, can lose that state of Grace, and thereby fall into a limited sense of identity as a separate being that is apart from God and apart from the Body of God.

This is a possibility that comes into existence the very moment God creates beings who have self-awareness, imagination and free will. God has no desire to see any of his sons and daughters become lost in a lesser sense of identity. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, but you can receive that kingdom only when you see yourself as a son or daughter of God who is capable of and worthy to receive that kingdom. If you become trapped in a lower sense of identity in which you see yourself as apart from the whole – and therefore think you are either unworthy to receive God’s abundance or entitled to all of it – you cannot receive the fullness of the kingdom. This is not what God wants to see happen so how can this possibly be avoided? In reality, it can never be ruled out as a possibility. The only way to take away the possibility that you could become trapped in a lower state of identity is to take away your imagination and free will. If you do not have the ability to imagine a limited state of identity and if you do not have the will to accept it as real, then you cannot become lost. If you do not have these creative faculties, you cannot serve as a co-creator with God and therefore you cannot become more. You cannot serve in expanding the intensity of God’s light in order to fill up the void with light. Becoming more and filling up the void is the very purpose for existence.
