Protecting American democracy from the criminal elite

Ascended Master Godfre through Kim Michaels, July 4, 2026. This dictation was given at the 2026 American Webinar: Will There Be Another 250 Years?

I AM the Ascended Master Godfre. I have previously given dictations about what it was like to be George Washington, to be in the Revolutionary War, to be at Valley Forge, to be the President of the United States. I will not repeat this but refer those of you who are interested to those dictations.

Multiplying the talents by serving others

What I wish to talk about here is a slightly different topic. Now as you will know if you have studied any kind of history of George Washington, you will know that I was first a general in the Revolutionary War, then I withdrew from public life, thought my public service was over, withdrew to Mount Vernon, but then some very insistent people called me back out to be part of the Constitutional Congress and even become the first President of the United States. This was as I saw it at the time a sacrifice. I had a very comfortable life at Mount Vernon, of course based on slavery, but nevertheless I had looked forward to living the rest of my life there and I had not intended to go into public service especially not dealing with something as difficult as being the first President where everything was new and new standards had to be established.

Why did I do this? Well, I did it because it is simply part of your path to Christhood that there comes a point where you look beyond your own personal self-interest and you look how you can help raise the whole. And I    realized when I look at this that I was there, there were certain things that needed to be done in this new nation and I had the potential to fulfill them better than most other people. I had my sincere doubts about whether I could do it because I had doubt about whether it could even be done, whether it was a doable task, but nevertheless, I also realized that I could not allow my personal doubts or my personal interests or my personal unwillingness to stand in the way of me giving the service that I could do and that needed to be done. What I am pointing out here is that I set aside self-interest for the interest of the whole. This is of course, as we have explained many times, a part of personal Christhood. I obviously did not see that that way at the time, but it is. There comes that point at the 96th level where you give up the focus on self and now you naturally focus on how you can serve the whole, how you can do something for others.

And in doing something for others you are multiplying the talents. You may say from a certain perspective that there are many tasks that seem selfish, self-centered, but in reality, they are also doing something for others. You could say: Here you have this new land. If a person starts farming a piece of land that before held only wild animals and produces a higher crop on that land that could produce naturally, then that person is also multiplying the talents.

I am not trying to say here that only when you give up self-interest are you multiplying the talents. There are indeed many, many people in America, both in the early days and today, who are seemingly doing what is good for them. They are seemingly pursuing self-interest, but by creating something of value they are still multiplying the talents. And it is this multiplication of the talents that built America from these very early primitive colonies to the prosperity that it has had since. It is that a critical mass of people were doing something to multiply the talents.

Taking the talents from others

However, what I want to talk about here is that there has always been a certain percentage of the American people, not necessarily that much higher than in other nations, although certainly higher than in some nations, but there has always been a percentage that were not multiplying the talents. Naturally, they had no awareness of serving the whole, serving the greater good, but they were not even multiplying the talents by bringing forth something new. They were attempting to take from others. They were attempting to steal from others, cheat from others, or in other ways, through corruption, take advantage of other people who brought forth something new, other people who multiplied the talents. There are those who multiply the talents and those who attempt to take the talents that others have multiplied. It is that way in every society, but what I am trying to point out here is that this is contrary to the spirit that built America. Saint Germain mentioned that if I had seen the current presidency, I might just have given up and said: “There is no hope for this nation.”

But what I really would have given up on, or might have given up on, if I had realized how much self-interest there is in this willingness to exploit others. I know that we have so far talked about exploitation of others by the power elite who is on top of society, but I am actually talking about those who are at the bottom of society in terms of being criminals. Criminals, swindlers, conmen, even organized criminals who are attempting to take from others the value that others have created through their labor, through their ingenuity, through new ideas. These people do not have creativity, they do not have the willingness to work, so they seek to take from others. And if I could have seen back then the extent to which these criminal enterprises had taken root in America, have worked their way into the fabric of American society, I might indeed have said: “Oh, it is hopeless.” But of course, it is not. I might have felt that way, but of course it is not. Because America still exists, but what is generally not recognized is the extent to which criminal enterprises have played a part in American society, even American politics.

High-level crime

And I am not necessarily here talking about the obvious crimes that you see in crime shows on television. Hollywood has, as in so many other ways, totally distorted the view of American crime. Most of the crimes they portray in these crime shows or movies are petty crimes, somebody who kills somebody or who steals something. But what I am talking about here is what you might call white-collar crime, that of cheating, stealing at a high level, often unnoticed, even stealing from the state, from the treasury, or in other ways, swindling to get money. And this has grown tremendously, especially after the Civil War, into the early part of the 1900s. But especially in the last several decades, it has been taken to another level. And as Saint Germain and Mother Mary said, it is necessary for a critical mass of people to realize there is a power elite that seeks to exploit the people. But it is also necessary to realize that there is a criminal elite who seeks to exploit the people. Only they are not as smart and therefore, they are more obviously criminal than the high elite.

And this, of course, has many versions—from the well-known mafias in New York and elsewhere to gangs producing or smuggling drugs. But it goes way beyond this to what we might call financial crimes or high-level corruption. And we have, of course, mostly when we have talked about fallen beings, we have talked about fallen beings in terms of these leaders of society, dictators who have been willing to kill people to maintain their power, who have gone to war with other nations in order to expand their power, and so forth. And this is, we might call, the highest level fallen beings who have the greatest intelligence and vision of what they want to do with their epic mindset. And who have the most attainment in carrying out their agenda. But there is a lower level of fallen beings that we have not talked so much about. And that is the kind of fallen beings who end up being criminals at various levels. They are lower ranking fallen beings that become what we might call the obvious criminals. But the higher levels or medium-level fallen beings, we might say, are the ones who go into this hidden crime, the white-collar crime, the high-level corruption.

Protecting democracy from corruption

And what needs to be recognized by any democratic society is, of course, that a democracy must prevent this kind of people from, first of all, attaining any kind of position in the government, but also from forcing or buying their way into the government through corruption. If there is not an all-out determined effort made to stop this, then it will very gradually infiltrate even democratic societies and, of course, undermine the democratic process. It needs to be recognized that there are people who are not just pursuing self-interest, but who are willing to exploit other people by taking from them or by taking from the government. And it is necessary to recognize the existence of these people, to recognize that they will not stop, they cannot be reformed, at least in the short run, and that, therefore, it is necessary for a democratic society to protect both itself and its law-abiding citizens from this exploitation.

And it can only be done by creating various forms of law enforcement agencies that are specifically designed to combat this form of crime. You will say, of course, well, you already have this, you have the FBI, you have Homeland Security, you have the SEC, you have others. And this is correct, but the extent of the problem has not been fully acknowledged and, therefore, not enough measures have been taken. And why has not this happened? Well, it is actually because over time a self-reinforcing effect has been created. And you see it more clearly in other nations, but you have it in the United States as well. And it is that these high-level criminals have gradually gotten influence on the political system so that they can hide themselves, they can intimidate, they can buy politicians and media people and, therefore, society has not fully acknowledged the problem. And society has not made a determined enough effort to say: “We can no longer tolerate this.”

The criminal elite

You will see in other nations how they have struggled with this. Ukraine is an example, Russia is an example, some Middle Eastern countries, some Asian countries, but you will also see that there are other democratic nations where they have done more to stop this kind of crime. And, therefore, what I am simply projecting into the collective consciousness is that it is necessary to do much more in the United States to stop this. Now, part of the problem here is that there is a blurred line between the top-level fallen beings and this middle class of fallen beings, because the top-level fallen beings also need to make money, and they do not really care about how they do it. There is a certain unholy alliance between the two where some of the top-level fallen beings have such an influence in society that they can open the door for the mid-range fallen beings to conduct their business without being persecuted by law enforcement. And this is clearly a form of corruption, but one that has not really been acknowledged in the United States as it needs to be.

And what needs to be acknowledged is that these people have absolutely no morals, no principles, no empathy, no humanity. They have no compunctions about ruining people’s lives. Even if they had spent their entire lives building a business, they have no problem taking it over through what is sometimes called a hostile takeover or by destroying that business if it competes with some among the top elite. You see how there is sometimes this—where the top elite are running a business that is being threatened by competition—and then the mid-range fallen beings either seek to destroy the business, demand protection money, or even just take it over.

This has grown in the United States to a level of sophistication that I of course could not have imagined 250 years ago, that the founding fathers could not have imagined 250 years ago. And there is simply a need to incorporate this in the Constitution to protect the American people from this kind of exploitation by what we could call the criminal elite. There is the power elite, the financial elite, and the criminal elite. It is somewhat artificial because, of course, the power elite and the financial elite are also criminals, but not quite in as brutal, violent of a way as the criminal elite.

Reward vs. risk

Again, I am just projecting this into the collective consciousness that there is a need for a new approach to law enforcement that needs to keep pace with the criminals. And it needs to be based on this very simple calculation. There is only one consideration for these people, the reward versus the risk. The bigger the reward, the more of a risk they are willing to take. The easier it is to get away with something, the more they are willing to do it. Therefore, there is only one way to deal with this, that is to increase the risk and decrease the possibility that they will reap the reward. It is the only way to combat this.

What has especially happened in the last several decades is that there has been a blurred line between the criminals who make enormous amount of money, especially on drugs but also other things, and financial institutions because the criminals have a need to whitewash the money. And the financial institutions have been willing to do this because the reward was so big and the risk so low. There are, from a surface perspective, well-respected financial institutions, businessmen, law firms, who are simply living off of giving services to criminal enterprises. Yes, this is known, but what is not known or realized is the extent to which this is infiltrated, especially in the financial system, but also businesses and even the political system, at the local and federal level. And this is a, to use a popular expression, clear and present danger to the democracy of the United States. Because what I gave up my comfortable retirement for was precisely to create a government where the common good was the overarching concern. And of course, these people have no consideration whatsoever for the common good.

Killing the goose that lays the golden eggs

The other thing that is the problem, as Saint Germain explained, that this kind of people can never have enough money. They can never get enough money. They will continue to seek to extract as much money as they can, even if it destroys the system, the political system, the economy. It is really the story of the king who had the goose, who laid the golden egg, and he cut it open to get all the eggs at once, killing the goose in the process. They have no compunctions about this. They have no considerations for this. They have no ability to consider the consequences of their actions, because they do not think they need to consider the consequences. They think they have a right to do whatever they need to do to get the results they want. You see how the entire foundation for American democracy is that people have rights. But the focus of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, is to limit the power of the state to infringe upon people’s rights. And that is necessary, but it is the alpha aspect. The omega aspect, is to prevent the people’s rights from being violated by other people, namely criminals and the elite. And that has not, to this day, been sufficiently addressed.

The middle class vs. the top class of fallen beings

I am not saying there were no criminals at the time of the founding fathers. Of course there were. But this was at a much lower level that you could almost call petty crime. The kind of high-level crime that you see today was unimaginable back then. But it has now grown to such a system or to such a size that you can almost talk about a state within a state, a parallel underground economy. We have before talked about the financial schemes that have been created and created an unnatural economy on top of the natural economy, which is people who are providing something of value. But beneath that is this underground economy that is simply trying to take wherever there is a possibility of taking.

And you can say: “Well, what is the difference between this middle class of fallen beings and the top class of fallen beings?” And there are various differences, but the main one is that the top-level fallen beings primarily want power, whereas the middle class of fallen beings primarily want money. And this changes their focus, where there are actually top-ranking fallen beings who have enough money, because their focus is on power, and they just want enough money to live a privileged lifestyle. They can never have enough power, but they can have enough money.

Then there is the middle class of fallen beings who want money, and they can never have enough. That is why they are willing to exploit the system without considering the long-term consequences for the system. Will they actually destroy their income by exploiting the system? That is a concern or consideration they cannot make, because again, as Saint Germain explained, which is a very important idea to grasp, that fallen beings cannot really question themselves.

Acknowledging a higher standard

The basic worldview, self-view that they have, they cannot question as long as they are in the fallen consciousness. And in order to get out of the fallen consciousness, they would have to be willing to acknowledge what they are doing and the consequences. And because they are in the duality consciousness, they will then see that they have been wrong in an epic way. You see, fallen beings, they can operate with a concept of right and wrong. Most of them are so trapped in duality that they can only see a dualistic definition of right and wrong.

But some of the older, we might say, fallen beings, they have come to realize that there must be something beyond the dualistic evaluation. They cannot clearly see what it is, but they see there is something. And if they were to reform themselves, they would have to acknowledge that there is an evaluation of right and wrong that is beyond the dualistic standard. And that evaluation, of course, the Christ mind, that does not really define right and wrong on a dualistic scale at all, but still sees that there is something that raises the whole and there is something that tears down the whole. And if they were to really shift out of the fallen consciousness, they would have to acknowledge that this, first of all, is a higher standard than the dualistic standard. But also they would have to acknowledge that this is a standard that they have not defined and that no human being on earth can define, because it is given from a higher level. It is not definable. It is not corruptible by the duality consciousness.

Protecting democracy from criminal elites

And there are fallen beings who have done this, who have shifted out of the fallen consciousness and who have started rising up from the lower levels towards the higher levels. Quite a few have done this since the fourth sphere. But there are still many fallen beings in embodiment on earth who are not willing to do this. And even though society does not need to talk about fallen beings, they need to recognize that there are certain people who have no allegiance to the very principles upon which American democracy is founded. They have no respect. They have no interest whatsoever in conforming to them. They might even believe, as some believe, that this is a weakness, an evolutionary weakness, that they have a right to do whatever they want. And they even might believe that society should acknowledge their right to do whatever they want.

And a democratic society needs to acknowledge this, so it can protect, first of all, its own democracy, but also protect its law-abiding citizens from exploitation by this class of the financial elite, the power elite, and the criminal elite. Naturally, much could be said about this. But again, as Saint Germain said, we are not really attempting to give everything and every detail through any messenger, because there are enough people in physical embodiment that we can work with that can tune in to these ideas, even though they do not know where they come from. I am projecting this into the collective consciousness through you, so that many of these people can then shift and suddenly see there is a need to do this. We need to make an effort. We need to create some government agencies. We need to strengthen these agencies.

And of course, this is more of a long-term process. It could not be done right now. Why? Because you have a criminal in the White House who would not be willing to create such an agency, because it could be directed at himself. And he would therefore, sabotage it at every turn, and he would attempt to get the party that he thinks he owns to oppose it as well. But it can be done in the more long, and it must be done. It is simply one of these things that are necessary to secure that the American democracy, the American government, is dedicated to the common good, and will not allow itself to be taken over by self-interest.

It would, of course, also require some serious changes in the justice system, especially now where you have a president who is using the justice system to go after his political opponents, or anybody else, even his business opponents, or even people he does not like. But still, it can be done. It must be done. And by your willingness to hold the vision and make the calls, it will be done. Now the impetus is given in the physical, and we will let it spread like rings in the water, so that more and more people can pick up on this and develop this determination to change the equation and protect the American people from crime.

Two types of presidents

That was my main topic, but I do wish to say that when you look at American presidents up throughout history, you see very clearly that there have been two main categories of presidents. Those who have seen the office of president as a privilege, as an honor, as an opportunity to serve the common good, and then those who have seen it as an opportunity to pursue some kind of special interest, whether their own personal ones or those of a group of people that they have given their allegiance to, whatever that may be. And you can see this by studying history, you can see it by even watching dramatizations, where you see the two kinds of presidents. And you can, of course, look at the present occupant of the White House, who is a fundamentally different president than I was.

You may say I was born in a family that had slaves, I had difficulty freeing myself completely from that culture, but I still saw the office of president as an honor and as a responsibility. And it is a fundamentally different approach to the presidency than what you see in Donald Trump.

Denial of reality

This is something that anybody who is willing to look at the facts, look at reality, can see. Only people who are not willing to look can fail to see this. And these people are then in what psychologists call denial, denial of reality. And of course, those who are in denial of reality will never be able to bring the nation forward. How could they? Because what creates positive change is, as we have said, you acknowledge not that there is something wrong necessarily, but there is something that could be done better. There is a problem that needs to be solved. There is improvement that could be made. This is a realistic assessment, not denial. When you go into denial, you ignore problems or you magnify or create problems that you do not acknowledge. And you are refusing to look at what needs to be changed. And this, of course, cannot bring a nation forward.

And what is characteristic of fallen beings is they have an existential denial. When they were originally confronted before they fell by the ascended masters, they refused Christ, they denied Christ, and therefore, went into a state of denial that those who are still in a fallen consciousness have not come out of. And the problem here is, of course, that in a democratic society, peaceful resolution is based on dialogue. But how can you have a meaningful, constructive dialogue with people who are in denial and will deny basic facts? Mother Mary talked about the manosphere. Well, they are in a state of deep denial. But the criminals that I am talking about are also in a state of denial. The top-level fallen beings in the power elite are in a state of denial. The financial elite are in a state of denial that their financial instruments will destroy the economy. It is just a matter of time, as you saw in 2008. How can you deal with this in a democratic society?

There were some among the founding fathers who were in denial, but most of them were not. They were willing to look at the issues and debate them openly. And then they were willing to compromise in order to create a constitution that advanced the common good. As a president, I traveled around extensively and talked to people directly. What can be done in a democracy is that a critical mass of people can realize the need for open and direct dialogue. They can engage in it, and they can come to a point where they can realize that it is in their interest, in the interest of the common good, that you do not allow the nation to be dominated by people who are in denial.

And what do I mean with denial? I mean people who are projecting out that the problem is other people and who are refusing to look at themselves and acknowledge that they need to change. They are in denial about their own need to change. And you cannot have a functioning democracy if you allow the public discourse to be dominated by people in denial who are constantly spouting out negativity and blame towards others. We have talked about before the need to change the public discourse, but there is a higher level of awareness where a critical mass of people can come to this realization that we cannot allow these people in denial, whether it is criminals or people who are polarized towards this or that political extreme, to run the country.

And how can we take it away from them? By talking to each other and realizing that no matter what background we come from, whether we are from this party or that party or no party, we have one thing in common. We have respect for the common good. Therefore, we can say we must set aside differences that prevent us from coming together and taking power away from those who are in denial, so that those who are willing to look at the common good and overcome any denial of the common good, they can direct the country in a new direction.

With this, I have given you what I wanted to give you. I am grateful for the opportunity. I see this already spreading like rings in the water, and it will continue to spread. You can of course reinforce it if you feel called to do so. But for now, I seal you in that flame of God-reality that I am.

Godfre, I AM.
